When I enlarge smaller images to something as large as you're wanting, I not only use the bicubic enlargement, but I also add a slight Gaussian blur to the image. Smoothes out any angularity of pixels, if they remain visible.
We have a small decal price sheet. Basically anything under 2 sq. ft. is referenced on it. I'm not sure of all the calcuations involved, but basically it includes the same overhead values as it would for, say, a 2' x 6' banner. Yes your material/ink costs are super low on a 2" x 3" decal, but...
9 out of 10 of the " customer calls on Friday After 3 :00 and Gotta Have it Today" jobs end up with "sorry, I'll have to pick it up Monday" when we tell them it's ready. Frustrating.
Totally agree with this. We talk customers out of reflective a lot because they seem to think they will magically be lit up at night. Most of the time being reflective is a waste.
60" sizes are mostly in wrap vinyl products, as some installations (trailers, trucks, etc) can be done with the larger panels. I don't think they were ever intended as products to mount to substrates, but obviously can. You are just wasting material though most of the time, so I stick to 54". If...
I had horrible experiences with Alumigraphics, trying to run it on HP Latex machines. The material holds its curl, causing jams. Lost one print head due to head strike. You might have better results on a Roland or something that allows you to raise the carriage height.
Flexiisign does it in 2 seconds. Why create it in Photoshop?
RIP doesn't recognize layers in a PSD file....only in a file that sends the image and a Contour Cut layer, IE Flexi, Versaworks, etc.
