because you have reset the printer have a look a the blade pressure setting in the cutting menu
other normal reason for that fault would probably be the main ribbon cable running across the top of the machine.or dirt in the magnetic actuator.
E Coloney read the manual there are two separate...
that does look like a old head but you say not so
what make of inks are you using
are you sure the cap tops are sealing correctly and the pump working as it should, ink on the pump gears is a give away its failing
regular use helps a lot
i noticed this problem many years ago and took to shaking...
OP original post
think the vp has environment check in the menu which is what is required every so often to keep the relationship between the the head and cutter encoders think the limit initialization is the long way round it but does the same and a few other bits. always best to do a...
you are looking for flushing adjustment in the manual.
on the rear of the cap are two posts on the corners that guide it in to place and the small spring holds it over towards you and it not adjustable but check the captop can move slightly in its holder
the height is not adjustable and relies...
a few things you may have not done
poor media backing does not stay flat if its buckling it will miss track
too much heat does the same
eg. 2 mts of laminated vinyl weighs quite a lot, the speeds must be lower its really the change of direction that causes the slippage so the up speed must also...
couple of things
i think the feed rate is relative the profile you use to crate the cut path so a different profile may speed things up try generic banner1 fast 360 dpi as that only has 6 passes compared to what you would normally use would have 12 or more.. i forgot to see if there was a feed...
"skip white areas" if you disable full scan printing in the printer menu it will skip the scan as nothing to print but will still feed at the normal rate ? worth a look.
years gone by we used to print to a file then alter plot files in a text editor then send to plotter with a dos command.
how...
if you are sending 1 a4 file to vw then multiplying up will be a pain
one file containing say 15 a4s laid out in your design program about 1 mts worth cut shapes only return to origin similar set up of the perfcut file so you only change every 15
or just cut every thing, weed then slice them up...
how you described the vs handling is what i would have expected,(at worst find the least resolution draft printing mode but the marks will always take a age to print) i would have tried to just used the GR using cut contour and perfcut paths with out the need of marks. or two files cut contour...
Do you think if I remove the link from this bad cartridge and add it into another cartridge that is 1/2 full it would work and I will be able to save the ink?
please do not try to add ink to another cart any air in the bag will give a lot of problems.
at worst change the ink bag in the cart...
got a feeling the sj has a cable not a belt like my sc540 pro2 (may be wrong) which made horrible noises once which was the cable sticking to the drum on the right side so vibrating a sound from the cable like me trying to play a guitar. clean and lube sorted it.
i have the same plotter and a mk2 as well, this is what i would do, notice in the pics that the vinyl has risen from the edges where its been cut along all the edges perhaps indicating you need a finer blade. the reflective blade you use is probable a 60 deg one so try that obviously with...
cutting air escape vinyls can be more troublesome. as the vinyl is not held as well to the backing paper, if its the knife thats picking up the corners i wood guess that the blade holder is not free enough and or too much blade showing, does it do the same to standard cut vinyls
i am a roland person so cant work out which way up the head pic is, guess was done with a mirror .
on the two outer rows of nozzles both magenta is residue which may correspond with the missing nozzles, looks like the head has rubbed a lot and the wiper not clearing it away. on the left of that...
never used CC but used the windows driver for my pc 50 and 60 used to use spot colours by telling the driver to swap a particular colour for a definable spot.
or of cause change the ribbon in the cart to trick it but doing that lost any voltage adjustment associated with the ribbon type due to...
looking at the corners of the box which are not square possibly the machine is in pen mode not knife mode.
also pen mode does not have a offset possible reason you cant adjust it.
and what machine is it.
my guess is you are cutting with a poor blade to much pressure not enough pinch rollers, printing with to much heat media distortion, watch the media being cut is the media bunching in front of the blade movement,
