    using the next key with a arrow key causes the head or vinyl to move at about 12" /sec, i can not see a way of adjusting that. are you saying it moving quicker or about that. if the vinyl is very heavy then it may cause a overload alarm.

    a old version of corel and the driver from rolands web site will be fine. but the driver is for a XP OS. can be connected by printer port (lpt1) or serial if you are usb only then a usb to serial converter. as a printer it was not very good (being polite) as a cutter it was slow by todays...

    two different printing technologies they will not look the same the thermal will always look harsh and grainy imo on that sort of image but horses for courses the thermal will be far better on some jobs having both is a bonus work them to there strengths.

    bit worrying can't find it, I didn't give it a quick try with the fc7000 driver seamed to work. must be in graphtec language not hpgl. wheels are the same as my fc7000 and the roland. so if you have found some standard ones should be ok.

    i have a jx1160 still running as a cutter beautifully. i will find some old rollers and compare to the FC i think they are the same. i presume the pins are missing as well, i can't find the driver either so will have a look for the last download OPS??? it will only work on XP i think.

    been there done that , as they say as above but you might as well do it with your eyes shut and count the key presses.
