  1. Hexis Vinyl

I have used the spectrum of their vinyl. It all works, installs and prints great.
  2. ink

I wouldn't touch it. I have had awesome luck with Solaris in my Roland.
  3. Hexis Vinyl

Your lucky, mine free shipping amount is $300. I guess I am about a 1000 miles farther away. Haha. It don't take long though to hit that when you order 2 or 3 rolls of 54" media.
  4. Hexis Vinyl

I have been dealing with Melissa for the last 3 plus years. I would say for the last 2, they are pretty much the only ones I buy vinyl from. It is very reasonably priced, I get it in a timely fashion, it prints and flat out works great. Plus I have been using some of their new stuff lately that...
  5. New or used VersaCAMM?

    I second Mosh, I started with a 30" and wish I had a 54" about a month later.
  6. HP5500 Ink

Liquecolor shows that they have 2 different versions for the #83 HP cartridge. One that is for microporous at $169 each and one that is not for $99 each. From what I have read, the cheaper one sounds like crap, but then there is no point switching for the little you save with the other one...
  7. HP5500 Ink

Hey Josh, What are your aftermarket inks? What are they per cartridge?
  8. HP5500 Ink

Trying to get you to use their solvent ink again? I know I haven't heard many good things about their solvent line, but it seems their aqueous line is okay.
  9. HP5500 Ink

How often do the print heads last? How many cartridges? I just talked with a guy from Lexjet and he said their inks are made by Dupont.
  10. HP5500 Ink

Of those of you using an HP5500, do any of you use an aftermarket ink? And if so, what brand are you using and would you recommend it? Thanks!
  11. VS-640 issues

Why would you use aftermarket in a new printer? Especially since it is totally new and bound to have problems when a new product first hits the streets.
  12. Epson 9900

So of those that have used this type of printer, would you recommend an HP 5500ps? 60" UV ink model?
  13. Replacement Ink for Roland SP-540 VersaCamm

I also use Solaris and love it. I think it looks better than OEM. I get mine from Ciber Supply. Talk to Bobby, he is cheaper than Fellers. (and a merchant member here)
  14. Versacamm not communicating

When mine did that, it ended up being the mainboard on my vp-540.
  15. Wasatch for a VP-540

I have a year old VP-540 that has all of the same features as the "i" model, RIPC, etc. I am wondering if it would be worth spending the money on a Wasatch RIP? Just trying to debate if the profiling options and workflow would be worth it. I have also been looking into getting a Xrite i1extreme...
  16. convert back to ecosol max from mega ink

Hearing stuff like this makes me glad that I decided to go with Solaris. If you are interested, I have been VERY happy with my Solaris ink. Bobby at Ciber Supply will treat you right too! I am using the same profiles and I think the colors look better than the OEM Roland. I actually just...
  17. Roland Eco-Sol inks?

I have had very good luck with little effort printing on silver metallic vinyl. I have found that calendared vinyl works the best.
  18. Epson 9900

Interesting. Thank you for your info. I figured it would be a good idea to get some feedback before I bought one. I do like how the HP heads are user replaceable. I would love to find a 60" 5500 UV with postscript.
  19. Epson 9900

I am about to pull the trigger on a new Epson 9900. I am just wondering if anyone has one of these and what they think of it. Thanks.
  20. Freaky VersaCamm Head Test Print-Gurus Needed to figure this one out! Please!

Mine did this when I changed the dampers as well. With mine, it was that the cable going into the head came loose.
