The only vinyl I've seen explicit instruction to NOT apply wet is most reflectives. Everything else should be fine...but with most vinyls being air release now, why bother? I do still use a little bit of rapid tac with air release etch vinyl, on really large panels that I want to float in.

How would I not be certain of my dimensions if, like I said, I measured and remeasured myself? If I'm relying on someone else's measurements, then no, I would not do that.

General Formulations has an air-egress etch ( 790AE) we are starting to use now that is similar. Fantastic to install, and prints well too.

I've said before, I'll say it again...along with the above mentioned, I would measure and remeasure 3 times, and cut the individual window pieces 1/32-1/16" short so you don't have to trim at all and it will fit right in with the smallest amount of gap. No one will see it, and you will save...

Also may need to increase the platen vacuum, since it's a thicker material and tends to hold it's curl more, you need to ensure that stuff goes through flat.

I use Graphicstock.com. Slowly building up to some good stuff, I usually find what I need. Unlimited use, $99/yr.

For vector drawing/editing/node manipulation, Flexi is way easier to me. Illustrator is fine. But for most sign work, Flexi will do everything Illy will do, and like I said, some of it easier. I find Illy's toolbars and menus cumbersome. Don't think of Flexi as RIP that has an editor...it's not...

I get that all the time too. On cars, it usually goes away after the sun heats it up. On a window not getting much sun it may take some time for that to go away.

So turns out it was just some anomaly.....I copied and pasted the image into a new document, resent, set 3 copies, and it printed and cut correctly. Flexi just likes to try my patience every other day....

I image, 3 copies, RIP...only shows 1 image, and then prints with NO reg marks...which are clearly set in Flexi. This is the First time I have encountered this in MANY MANY years of doing this exact thing.

DO IT RIGHT or DON'T DO IT AT ALL. Use the correct vinyl for the job. Short term, long term, doesn't matter. If the customer wants a wrap, partial or full, we use wrap vinyl and laminate. I don't care if they peel it off tomorrow or 4 years later. Costs the same either way.
