I'm the same way when it comes to driving in traffic. I find it's a good way to start and end the work day, by listening to something like the Tim Ferriss show.
Good to know, thanks. Space will be tight for us too so having to have those in place would have been a pain. I will definitely hit you up for that file if we go ahead with the purchase!
Thanks for the pics Matt! So you don't need to use those laser/safety beam things in the corners? (huge sigh of relief)
Did that tool holder by your computer come with the unit or did you cut that yourself?
Definitely getting some good ideas from your set up!

From what I've heard/seen it's just the nature of the beast. I also have trouble just accepting that and would also love to know if there's anything that can be done to revive them or make them last longer.
We religiously clean our unit every day and perform the weekly maintenance and follow...
Have you seen one in person yet Ben? I'm thinking of going to check one out at ND in Toronto this summer. Are you going through them? Maybe we could get a two for one deal...... lol. :D
Love this! Our shop is also smaller and my biggest concern is compromising our workflow and space by adding one of these units. Does it require much work to re-level the unit after you've moved it around?
Do you drop it down onto the "feet" or do you just leave it with the wheels down? Our Oce...
That's a tough one. I definitely feel for you and don't think it's right to pay for the tech's exploratory mission but at the same time they can't use those parts once they've put them in your machine. If they're putting parts in and taking them out (and you don't end up with them) then...
Yikes, that's too bad. Hopefully they can come up with a new inkset that will work, otherwise this technology doesn't seem like it has much use based on these stories.
Good luck guys, hope you get this sorted out.
Congrats on your purchase! Keep us posted on the progress once you get yours installed.
I believe you will need a compressor if you're running any pneumatic tools or router. I've attached the Pre-Install guide that our supplier sent me.
Which options did you go with? I'm also in the process...
I personally won't be buying another Roland. We have a 10 year old XC-540 and 5 year old XR-640 which have worked well over the years but from what I've seen and heard Roland is going downhill in terms of quality builds. They just keep coming up with shiny new models and not addressing the...
Now that's a rant. Feel better now?
I suggest the use of paragraphs, proofing your copy, and perhaps looking into spellcheck.
I HIGHLY doubt you'd have multi-million dollar contracts if you can't even spell vehicle right on your website. The spelling mistakes (not to mention design) is...
Sounds interesting. What RIP software and plotter are you using to achieve this? I've been playing with Onyx cutserver and it does seem to work well with different cut layer/types.
Is there a way to query the printer for available media? I would suspect this is what needs to be done although I can't recall where this setting would be in Onyx.
Not super familiar with these products but it's the first thing that came to mind: http://www.visualmagnetics.com/VM-Graphic-System
Might be worth checking out.
Cool vid!
What time of the year were you there? A good buddy of mine lives there (right in town) and we were out visiting him in March. Got a couple great days of snowboarding in and went on some nice drives.
Such a beautiful part of the country!
