  1. patrol boats

:-) Sorry John, got my 'polys' mixed up.
  2. patrol boats

You can remove the Triumph decals, just like any other. I used to sell these things when they were Logic Boats; we always had issues with the decals peeling initially. When the re-tooled and changed the name, the quality went way up.
  3. Another rounded san-serif mystery..

Easy for somebody here - I can't find it!
  4. patrol boats

I would put it above the rub rail, simply to avoid having it damaged when they dock. Keep in mind that Triumphs are a polypropylene hull - it's going to take extra steps to get the decals to stick. In the past I've prepped with alcohol, let dry, then flashed the area with a torch and immediately...
  5. Removing Vinyl

If you don't search, you'll get hounded, especially for your first post. There isn't enough info here - are they full wraps, just vinyl, a combination? If they are inside you'll be ahead of the game in this weather; heat guns, lots of time and two guys working for about a week. You could try a...
  6. Removing Vinyl

Oy... search function bud. That's a real basic task for any shop. If you can't handle it, send him to me... I'm not that far away!
  7. Our new site went live today too.

Looks great Dan! Have your webmaster spellcheck though... second page of "signs", the paragraph under the red truck has two glaring errors. In fact, your project pages also have errors. But the work itself is magnificent!
  8. Something never tried...

Well, I'll be. I was looking for some kind of confirmation pop-up that the screen had been captured (using the PrntScn button). Yep, all is right in X5... ya learn all kinds of things every day! Thanks everyone for the input! R
  9. Something never tried...

Snag It? Is that a program? No matter... Corel already figured it out with the program "Capture" available on the CD with all the other goodies. If I had just spent the time to read the damn instructions... :-)
  10. Something never tried...

How does one create a screen shot in X5 that shows the entire screen - palettes, icons and toolbars? Is it even possible? And yes, I've tried the "PrtScn" button on my keyboard... it does nothing :-)
  11. Need a sandblaster!

According to the yellow pages, there are at least three media blasters right in your area. Check around with them, and talk with monument (headstone) manufacturers. They have a better feel for blasting stuff in general. Or, like Maniac said, purchase your own equipment if you can afford it. You...
  12. Installing 1/2" PVC sign on dry wall

Four drywall screws right through the face spaced around the perimeter. Bury the heads flush and cover with the same color vinyl or print (or, hang the disc, then install your print). Figure out where there is a stud to grab with the top and bottom screw and you're good to go, even if someone...
  13. Do you give Christmas gifts to clients??

For my regulars, especially the municipal departments, I usually gave the offices a gift basket full of mixed coffee, teas and hot chocolates.
  14. sand blasted aluminum

While I personally don't see the point, you're standing too long in one area and heating it up. .080 is pretty thin to be doing this with; if you can't mount it to something before you blast, then you'll need to take very light passes over the entire piece, let it sit a couple of seconds, do...
  15. Help with mutoh falcon outdoor!

First - do a search in the Mutoh forum section for the answer. Second, you'll need to pull the carts and clean the lines from the heads to the cart needles. Third, you'll undoubtably need either new heads or a new maintenance station or both. If the unit was in that bad a shape when you bought...
  16. Fire Truck Chevron - Roll Up Door

Approach it like any other roll up door. Apply the vinyl(s), then slit along the panels and tuck into the grooves. The panels I've seen from the factory are actually trimmed slightly back from the grooves, but I can't make myself be that anal with the trimming...
  17. X5 with CoCut Pro

I heard from Christian at Eurosystems this morning. He suggested to download and update the Skin module and try again, and if it didn't work simply use the CoCut module integrated into Corel. It didn't work (the Skin), so I'm still a little irked at spending the amount of money I did for a...
  18. applying vinyl on round angled glass

Well... the way I'd approach this is to take the line of text, one line at a time, and wrap it around the globe. Tape it as best you can either at the top or bottom and cut between each word and apply. Repeat for each line of copy. It ain't gonna be easy, but that's the only way I see to do...
  19. applying vinyl on round angled glass

"round angled glass" is an oxymoron; a photo would certainly help here. How big is the area?
