+1 on GoDaddy. 24/7 tech support and good rates.
  2. production manager acting up

Maybe. Try clearing the system cache to free up some space, or divide the job in half again.
  3. electronic signs on cars coming to CA?

I agree. Too many hackers that would be able to change the license plate number...
  4. Police Car Pricing Question

Do you have a copy of the other company's quote? First responders are always looking for the lowest price, of course, but it's your job to upsell them into something that will suit them better. Does their present package provide the necessary visibility? Is it an old design and needs updating...
  5. Mutoh Falcon Jr photos and questions, recent purchase.

Get the entire capping and pump station from Mutoh. I don't think CMYK carries those. The entire unit will be around $650 or so and come pre-assembled. Lots easier than messing with a bunch of parts and trying to get them together yourself, since you have to replace everything anyway. I bought...
  6. System fonts not showing

This may not be a directly related Corel issue, I'm running 10, and not all my system fonts are appearing on the drop down menu when I select the text. All the little tick boxes are checked in the options menu to show TTF and other fonts. It's weird, some won't show in Illustrator either, and...
  7. What is the stupidest thing you did at the shop?

Keep allowing the Xacto to roll off the table... and kept trying to catch it...
  8. Stupid weird descenders...

You're 2 for 2 today, Shovel. Thank you! I knew it was something easy...
  9. Stupid weird descenders...

Seen it before, but can't find it... Anyone? Thank you!!
  10. Stealth wrap concept

So what's wrapped - the truck or the trailer? And why wouldn't they just have bought a black trailer to begin with...?
  11. Wednesday Coro-Plane update. She's In!!

I've got a sense of adventure, but not to the point where it's gonna cause me bodily injury. 200lb/trust in a 200 pound airplane with a 180 pound pilot... it ain't gettin' off the ground. Period. It may roll, that's about it. Truly, I do appreciate the work and workmanship behind the project -...
  12. Wednesday Coro-Plane update. She's In!!

Hmmm... a one cylinder with reduction drive... and a 48" prop. While I really enjoy reading about this build, methinks that motor and prop aren't going to make you go anywhere. Even a paraglider uses a 5 to 6' prop...that 4' just isn't going to produce the thrust needed to overcome the weight of...
  13. Need banner flags, contacted merchant member, never got a response

Just ordered from these folks today: http://www.texvisions.com/ East coast, but will ship anywhere. Call and talk to Amy @ (866) 639-7716 Ext. 7408 and tell her Rick from Tam Arte sent you.
  14. Need a quote for this job?

Way too little information. Why paper? Is it temporary no parking for an event? If so, I'd simply photocopy the page onto *gasp* Avery label paper, available at any office supply store.
  15. Applying vinyl issues, need advice!

You don't get bubbles from time to time, Tech? If not, I'm coming to your location to teach me...
  16. Applying vinyl issues, need advice!

Don't sweat it. It happens. If your customer doesn't object or have the time to wait, they will disappear over time. Metallics, like you've used, tend to do that for some reason I've found. Check the edge of your squegee, too. Any little nicks will end up as bubbles. Could be the soap, too...
  17. Removable Sign Suggestions . . .

What kind of trailer? Enclosed box or open sided landscape? For a box trailer, he'll have to rig either a rail system on the side to slide the panel into or put a couple of bolts through the sides from the inside so he can put a wing nut on the outside to hold the sign on. Either way, you'll...
  18. 6x posts

Oh yes, I agree with everyone's statements. I actually fired this client about four years ago for just such acts of lunacy, but one of my other clients, who is a marketing guy, is doing the marketing for this job and wants me onboard. He's aware of the foolishness of the request, and I've...
  19. 6x posts

Yep, permissable in the township (that's why they want to do this) and it's a temporary sign of all things! I think it is going to come down to either a steel or aluminum structure, Gino - you're right on that. But I know they won't bite on the price to do that... these are realtors!
  20. 6x posts

This is more an installation question: I've got a client absolutely insistent on placing a 4x6 sign 16' in the air on 6x6 pressure treated posts. I'm getting ready to turn the job down simply because I don't have the equipment to crane the posts into position (though I could sub that part...
