you'll want one with a take up of the laminated media
  2. Replacing LX850

I too see issues with the LX850. I don't believe it to be a high end high quality machine, but rather a high production printer meant to print entire rolls at a time, roll after roll after roll. jim

  6. Laminator eating material...(yep another one of those)

agreed! Have used both and love the cadilacs! Makes laminating a whole roll a breeze and fast, plus lets you do hot lams properly
  7. Laminator eating material...(yep another one of those)

Just another reason why you shouldn't cheap out on a laminator! If I was paying for it I may do so as well, but the $20,000 to $30,000 machines sure are nice to use and will last a lifetime!
  8. Retractable Material

Call Barrett at Big Dog Media Solutions. Use to get a couple real nice materials from him I ran on a 6000. One was a pebble finish film type and a nice fabric. http://bigdogmediasolutions.com/
  9. aqueous vinyl laminating

I have aqueous laminated print that have been outside for over 7 years and still look good. Granted it faces north and has little sun. Also had some on what would be the hood of a golf cart and those faded within 8 weeks.

They still make scanners? Would buy a nice camera, lights and make shift copy stand.
  11. wholesale printer needed business cards etc.

Print Runner or Copy Craft both offer quality at a great price. Under $40 for a 1000 4/0 or 4/4/ Better cards and quality than most less expensive options.
  12. replacing printers

What kind of items are you selling? Size? Media being used?
  13. Have never seen this happen.................

Curious, what's the make up of the grey color? If in the file it's just black your rip must be printing it with a 4C mix. If you can get it to use more black in the make up of the color, the shift from light source to light source should be less. jim
  14. Laminator disaster

Not in my opinion. Have used the $8000 - $12000 crowned roller laminators and would not personally buy one. The high end straight rollers are much more accurate and precise machines to use. Compressed air tension and pressure is much nicer to use. Yes, I know your going to spend $20,000 or...
  15. Laminator disaster

This is why I would not buy a laminator with crowned rollers. I know good laminators are expensive, but they last and last and last. They cut down on mistakes and reprints as well! BIG AGL FAN!!!!!!
  16. Golf ball vehicle wrap

I own a white mini van and thought about doing this a few years ago. I figured since the van was white the easiest thing to try was just printing and cutting out the dimples and placing each one, one at a time. Otherwise not sure how you pull off the corners lining up properly.
  17. Shop table surfaces

It's nice to have a full table with a glass top as well!
  18. Roland LEC UV Lamp Replacement

Does anyone here know where we can get a replacement LED UV Cure lamp? Part number 19600 Rev 5. Think we found the company that makes them but I am told they can not sell to us and we have to purchase it from Roland. Guessing if it is available we have have to have in imported from over...
