  2. Storing Vinyl

We use 2" premask with a printed label that indicates whether it's vinyl or laminate, cal or cast, manufacturer/series, where it was purchased from and when it was opened. We also write the remaining length on media. Might seem like overkill but it saves a lot of searching and moving rolls...

  4. Question What type of material to Create Helicopter (or Aviation) N numbers?

Well done, knowing when to say no thanks. I'm personally done with aviation related graphics after sending a "friend" a $4k invoice after installing new stripes and graphics on his plane, only for him to complain that it was "too expensive". Sure wasn't too expensive when he was bragging to...
  5. Just finished this sign today

Amazing how many things you notice when you stare at something long enough...I definitely didn't see that at first. At first glance in the OP all I noticed was a nice looking sign on a chitty backround. Go figure.
  6. Just finished this sign today

Looks great, huge improvement over the banner. Shame they didn't paint it before you put your nice letters up but I guess they only had money for one or the other. If you don't mind me asking how did you paint the letters?
  7. Lunch Time

Please accept my sincere condolences. I am a HUGE fan of mexican food and never go a week without it. I can't imaging going in for a bite of a delicious burrito only to have it slip away. I'll be having a burrito for lunch tomorrow and will be sure to be extra careful. I'll even pour out a...

  16. XC-540 Take up reel tracking

I've had the same experience with our XC-540 and XR-640 since we've gotten them. Can't trust them to track for more than an hour. Wish I had some suggestions for you but I've yet to find something that works.
  17. Source for Pre-patinated Corten / Weathering Steel

Interesting. Could you share some progress pics if you go ahead with this? Would be neat to see how that works. Good luck with the bid!
  18. Equivalent to PMS 8022 (Metallic)

Thanks Marlene. I definitely don't trust my screen that's why I was hoping to match it up to a Pantone on the chart that I do have (Pantone coated).
  19. Equivalent to PMS 8022 (Metallic)

Does anyone have a metallic and regular coated pantone chart handy by any chance? Hoping to find a close (enough) coated version of PMS 8022 which is a metallic color. I'll be printing on metallic silver but just need to know what I'm aiming for and don't have a metallic pantone chart. Thanks...
  20. Any experience with 20/20 Color inks for Roland - Alternatives?

We've been using Nazdar in our Rolands for the last year or two. So far so good....ink kinda stinks but $88 vs $155 for OEM is worth it from what I've seen so far.
