  1. When you outsource, do you tell the customer?

because the places I order from are trade only and typically specialize in whatever they are fabricating. But I know Gino, you're the MOST AMAZING SIGN MAKER WHO DOES IT ALL ® so you have never been in the position where outsourcing from a trade-only wholesaler is a better deal for you and...
  2. When you outsource, do you tell the customer?

i will say "there are many ways to produce this sign. Most of the time, I fabricate in house, but there are times when I can get a better product, for a better price, by sending it out to someone who specializes in that particular item."
  3. Unique Vinyl Project - Glow In The Dark

like others have said, i'd use white reflective for the YOLO part, and black reflective for the rest of the text. We've done a bunch of "ghost" decals with black reflective on black windows. It looks pretty cool. At night, the entire thing will reflect white.

  6. Sales tax question

I've called the NJ Tax department for clarification, and they weren't helpful. I realized that when I sell something like product labels, they fall are under this exact exemption. And most things I use in my business are tax exempt, so why aren't things like signs?
  7. Need Help Sign Cut Too Short

yeah. this is a custom made pan-face. You need to know the outside dimension of the panel, the depth of the pan, and the flange width. if you quoted someone for a flat panel, you need to go back and admit to your mistake. The pan face will cost at least 3x as much as a flat panel.
  8. Need Help Sign Cut Too Short

I just looked up the cost of a new polycarb roll stock panel, and for all the labor involved in fixing the framing to accommodate the smaller panel, i'd just say start over. Particularly since the graphics aren't even that big. We've done the same thing btw, and had to replace two sides of a...

  15. UL label for 3M vinyl

I feel like people don't understand what UL is, and how it applies to our products. You might need to send material out for flame testing on your own.
