The manifold is the black thing the damper sits on. If you don't know what I'm talking about. It's probably not a good idea to attempt any of the fixed I've suggested. You may want to get a tech out there to flush the head. After you see them do it once, you should be fine.
Okay. You installed the damper correctly. Some folks twist on a new damper and then do several cleanings to try and run the ink back into the head. Not a good way to go.
You probably have air in there. Did you crack the manifold when putting on the new damper? I've done it before...
How did you prime the dampers? You probably have air in the lines. When I do a damper swap I hook up a syringe to the reaplced damper and suck air until the damper bladder is half full of ink. I drop it on the head and do a normal cleaning good to go.
Some times an air bubble is located...
We have a Roland 74 and a 64. I love them both. Most common size I run on both is 54" materials of varied types. My next printer will be wider however. I'd like a 108" roll printer or a 4x8 ft flatbed/hybrid.
From what I've read on the net you can switch from metallic to standard ink, but once white goes in the machine, you cannot switch it out unless you change the lines.
I personally have no experience with this machine. I also don't see why you couldn't switch out white/metallic with other...
Before this happened I would have said no. You have to leave it on for cleaning cycles, but now, I say shut it off.
Unless you have someone there to check on it daily for faults, clean it very well and power it down. When you get back do a head soak a couple normal cleanings and you'll be...
The family and I took a vacation to Disney. I did a thorough manual cleaning and put it to sleep.
I get back last night around midnight. Stop into the shop and hear a beeping noise from the printer. I don't know when it happened but the printer went for an automated cleaning over the last...
I have a roland, so it will be a little different than your system.
There looks to be a stainless steel plate in front of the caps. Find the screws to take of that plate and there will be pump and tubes beneath that sheet metal. You'll have to move the head carriage onto the platen to do...
Check your cap top hoses and the pump.
I have been battling the exact same problem for two days. My yellow head was acting up. (coincidentally) Tuns out the black cap top lost connection to the pump they both share and was causing a leak.
I ended up replacing both cap tops and yellow...
Right.
Wipers are cleaned regularly. Once or twice a week with the manual cleaning regimen.
Scraper is cleaned, "once in a while". When it's caked with partially solidified inks and lint it's due for a cleaning.
Spring = Awesome answer.
After doing the spring replacement. Do a head soak. A couple normal cleanings, then print a couple 2x3 prints to get the nozzles firing. That should straighten you out.
The new black style scrapers last years. I replaced mine this month just because. It was a couple years old.
Usually I take them out and properly clean them when I'm bored or have nothing going on at the shop.
