This^^^ Flexi user for years. Stupid simple for cut vinyl, even multi-color jobs. If you're just cutting vinyl though you wouldn't need the pro version.

Steam for me. Less chance of burning a surface. In my experience I've found that steam leaves most of the glue attached to the vinyl. Most is the key word. Nothing is the perfect solution every time. Just have to see which one works best on the particular job.

It will probably last longer than you want to keep working. My D610 needs two pinch rollers after a couple decades of use. I imagine our new D140R will be the same.

I had short 3M rolls a couple times. That's why I rigged a counter on my laminator. No more guessing what the total length was or if there is enough remaining to finish the job.;)

Can always try the Blend function in Ai. I've had good success with it.

Heck, I spent 26 years in a factory building paper processing, converting, and ancillary equipment. Went back to school for graphic design/business after my job was offshored. Working on my BA now. Never know what life will throw at you or where it will lead.
