The RIP will override the printer settings. So make sure the RIP is set up for Overwrite Cnt You will want an Overwrite Wait to allow the ink time to dry before putting down the second pass. 0.5 sec is a good place to start. Your actual time will vary depending on media and environmental...

  5. Old ink from Fellers?

These inks are 2 years from date of manufacture. So yours have not expired. The issue over time is settling, so they all should be "gently shaken" before use. These are all degassed and sealed, so there should be no air issues. If you are going to stock carts for long periods of times...

dampers are fairly cheap and should be replaced periodically, every 18 months or so. They most likely should get changed whenever you change a head. The dampers may not be leaking, they may be plugging up. If you have changed the head 3 times, the seal between the damper may be compromized.

  12. Cutting Magnetic Material

We have 'scored' magnets and then broke them out. Slow the cutter way down, acceleration way down, and increase the presure. Stay with fairly small sheets as it is easy for the material to 'drift' during scoring because of the weight. The thinner mag material is easier.

  16. Mutoh Falcon Outdoor - Banding Lines?

There are basically two reason nozzles get misdirected. 1. Ink drying on the nozzle opening, in which case it may take some extended soaking to soften up enough for the wiper to remove. 2. Damaged nozzle openings. You can see in the photo that some black nozzles are not lined up in the...

  19. Rockhopper 38/Falcon Outdoor Junior newbie questions

Often times there is too much light for the paper sensor to read correctly. You can try to put a shade or cover over the printer to test this out.
  20. Mutoh Falcon 2.....Using more Magenta & Yellow than it should be??

While it is possible you may have some issue with the ink delivery system for these two colors, these are the most used inks typically, of course, depending on what you are printing.
