I have zero issues with Avery, as I stopped using their crap years ago.

Oh bullcrap...an inch of lam WILL stick to the roller and if you're not careful, will roll itself up around the roller. I wish they would make all laminates shy of the actual measurement. Like 54" laminate actually being 53.875" or something. I seem to always get laminate that's up to 1/4"...

Probably the wall...installer just went to check on this last job. All tape was still on the letters. No paint damage, so it appears this paint on the wall is hard to stick anything to. I've had issues sticking vinyl on some of these newer painted walls, didn't think it would happen with VHB...

Anyone having issues with VHB not holding up? We have had an alarming amount of VHB failures recently....normally we can rely on it holding up a variety of things with no issues, but lately we have had issues. A sign in our lobby has fallen TWICE....a simple PVC sign. And we put up acrylic...

This may be a simple fix...I had that happen on our machine, and it was simply the small metal tab inside the plotter head was stuck. It's in the hole on the side that retracts the slicing blade to sheet cut. It was stuck on ours and causing the X position alarm.

Did this get resolved? My money is on the plotter's scale setting, but OP hasn't replied with "that worked" or anything else.

Ok, on the COntrol Panel of the plotter, hit MENU, then you should have AREA....click that and check the SCALE there....should be on 1. it can go down to 1/2, which I suspect it is on.

You didn't specify what software is cutting this....most will have a scale setting. You may have it set on 50%.

What antivirus? I had all kinds of issues using AVG. Finally deleted it and got MacAfee. No problems since.

I got a roll of 30" from them that didn't have the logo on the liner. After going back to the box, it was IJ35...not IJ35C, which we always get. So check that the roll has Comply.

I use an entirely different blade and holder for reflective, the CB15U. Maybe that's the issue? I supposed the 9 will work too...if so, that looks like a motor problem with the plotter, or the pinchwheels are not gripping the vinyl well.

Any adhesive vinyl will be fine. Laminate optional....water won't hurt the ink.

Then his main image would be diluted by frosted vinyl....I assume he doesn't want the image frosted.
