  1. Printing full bleed on reflective

Which with 3M Reflective? We use 680CR and have never had a problem with edges lifting on laminated full bleeds.
  2. Painting over full wrap

Actually I do know, last March a tornado came down my road here in KY. they are still cleaning up and rebuilding right now. Thankfully it missed our home by 4 or so homes each way (my home sits in a valley; tornado stayed on the ridgeline) it is not fun, make sure all valuables are secured.
  3. Painting over full wrap

I cannot see how a customer would buy a trailer "for only a few months", never seen that before - but I have heard it. See who in your area sells hot water pressure washers, and ask if they can bring a demo model by for you to try out, or see how much renting one is at a local tool store. Blast...
  4. My shops new vinyl rack

Someone here had photos of one they made, I had them saved for a while but can't find them currently. It was a slick setup; kind of like a wall gun rack but taller.
  5. My shops new vinyl rack

One will fall eventually and you'll come in with a floor full of muffed-up vinyl. We have our larger rolls on a smaller shelf near the floor, and inevitably once a month or so you come in and a bunch are on the floor. If these are all smaller rolls, I would definitely recommend the wall racks...
  6. Chrome Vinyl for Vehicles?

Thanks, I just called a supplier and found the Oracal 351/352 to be very reasonably priced. Does anyone know if the 352 prints well with the EdgeFX?
  7. Chrome Vinyl for Vehicles?

I've been making signs for 5 years now, however I've never had a request for Chrome vinyl... Today, a local installer (who sells his own jobs; we do the design & print for him) received a request for chrome vinyl for dump truck doors. What material would you recommend using?
  8. Looking for "Wow"... all I have is "ummm ok"

    that is all...
  9. 2004 E250 Ford and "Sticky Yard"

I would recommend purchasing a template software like Pro Vehicle Outlines. It will allow you to measure/price/proof without ever seeing the vehicle in person. After those steps, sometimes it is necessary to take a couple specific measurements, however most templates are fairly accurate...
  10. pricing a small reflective job... i don't know

We don't stock as much as Gino, but we do have over 60 rolls of different colored 15" vinyl in stock currently; most of it reflective or specialty vinyl, then another 50 or so rolls of wider vinyls, and another 50 rolls of 54-63" digital substrate. It all depends on what your client base is...
  11. Need discontinued color vinyl

Is it close to the Copper foil color for the Edge? Without knowing what (old) material you had, it's hard to guess what would be a close match.
  12. Electrical Signage help

That must be one expensive ballast or electrician. A local sign supply company here sells bulbs for under $10 ea and sockets even cheaper than that...
  13. 2013 Ford Police Interceptor

Run by a dealership & get measurements from a taurus to scale it off of & then it should work well enough if you cannot purchase an actual, already scaled template (like from PVO). It worked for the graphics I produced using it until I received the template file from PVO in my 2012 update...
  14. client wants a sign to block a driveway, help please

I've seen these in new subdivisions across the driveway of the "demo/model house" for lack of a better term. They also usually have a concrete planter on either end as described. A triangular shape with a sign or banner over the front side is usually how they're constructed. A QR code would...
  15. Store Facelift

I love it except for the gas mask skull clip art.
  16. Door Jam Wrapping

Is it a solid color wrap or a digital print wrap? If it is a solid color, it would be just as expensive as having the car painted once it's completed... A digital print... no way you'd probably even want to touch the job, he wants a "seamless" wrap also, right?
  17. I never feel....

A tablet & stylus would make a photo effect like that much easier; so you could vary your brush pressure. Another way would be to use source images of waterfalls, that's what it looks like the original artist did.
  18. Hot vs. cold laminator

We're very happy with our GFP 54" with heat assist. The bit of heat it adds makes the laminate go on so smoothly.
  19. Need a Place to Find Product - Very Large A-Board

sounds like it's time for custom, never seen them either at that size unless they were custom built.
  20. Does all reflective vinyl cost an arm & a leg?

Yes it is expensive, be sure to charge accordingly. I'd estimate at any time we have around 50 rolls of reflective in stock.... We primarily only use 3M reflective, but also have some oddball colors that are only available from other manufacturers to match certain fleets. Wait until you price...
