    You're lucky the police didn't show up... looking for you. The customer owes you money for the sign you made for them not the sign itself. When you handed over the sign you, in effect, gave them a loan. The loan was not paid. The only damage to you is you don't have your money... not you don't...

    The colours look faded on my monitor too. I like the one with the orange the best but I would make it with bolder colours. (and move "since 1974" over to the left a bit)

    Thinning the orange outline around Meyers might do it. The name just needs a little oomph. I agree that Ice cream should be prominent.

    I can read "ice cream" a lot easier than "Meyers" in the thumbnail size. I think you need a bit more contrast so the name stands out a bit better. Maybe Meyers needs to white too?
