I here tell of some fonts having mysterious "alternate characters". Are they only Adobe fonts and can you access them in Flexi with the "insert symbol" command? I just finished creating an alternate "g" for Mister Earl (I know, I can't let it go... I wuv it) and got curious.
Yeah, the customer doesn't always get that they are just trim either. They think it's a stinkin' frame and they can haul around a 4x8 sign just holding onto the trim.
What about gorilla glue... I know it's not clear but if you don't goop it on?
I thought the same thing, signmeup... but I'm not sure the authenticity is right. He's stressing that point. I think the new post will be dead on! can't wait to see...
I get the cool factor of Wraps but when you cover half of it up with other words and put it on such a busy background with little contrast and have a pattern on the letters themselves... just too much. take it down to greyscale and remove some of the gobbley-goop (yes, that's a technical term)...
I have to agree with today's comments... I thought post 26 was very promising. I love watching the creative back-and-forth with the seasoned sign folks of this site. It was still a good exercise in what a design can develop into.
I just have to say, being a mother, the best part of what you captured from him.... is the dimple!!! I think that made a huge difference in "humanizing" the sketch :)
