  1. VersaCamm SP-540V profiles

Here ya go, you can also get them off Oracal's site and I believe Rolands site as well. http://printingdigital.net/forums/local_links.php?catid=275
  2. Unusual Coroplast uses!

Interesting project their Signmaniac. I also couldn't help but notice the pool table in your print room there, now that's a productive work environment, probably got the Busa in the next room as well huh?:thumb:
  3. Looking to get into signmaking....

Oh my Lord, for once I agree with OP :thumb: This would probably be a very wise decision.
  4. Can some help Please!!FAST!!!!!!!!!

You could try that, it's not gonna hurt anything, you can even wipe it down with 91% isopropyl alcohol first to insure there is no contamination, then do a test print, this might help you to determine if the other media is contaminated or not. I would recommend buying some media intended for...
  5. Can some help Please!!FAST!!!!!!!!!

What I see are splotches (small areas that appear to be faded or appear to have less ink coverage). I encountered this only one time on my Roland SP-300V and it was a "contaminated media problem" caused by "cheap azz media" (Solvex). I have never had this problem using Oracal's vinyl medias.
  6. Nonstop viruses, can't get rid of them?

Flame, now just stay off the porn sites and you should be OK.:thumb:
  7. Self-Healing Cutting Mat - Does side matter?

With mine the matte side is intended to be the cutting surface.
  8. Microdot?

Well, 60's & 70's it was LSD :rolleyes:Acid Man, What A Trip:cool: Probably the same thing in the 80's just cut with a little Meth & Extasy
  9. Pirated Aurora Graphics DVD's

I have seen many times were people were selling this software and in the description it said "New, Opened but Never Used" Dosen't take a rocket scientist to figure out what these clowns are doing.
  10. What Cutters do you like?

I have two Roland Printer/Cutters and am extremely happy with their performance but for a stand alone cutter Graphtec FC series is my choice. Been running my Graphtec FC4100-75 for 9 years now without a single problem.
  11. Can you tell what model this is?

Wow you guys are way off, that is a FC4100 series which were sold between roughly 1999 & 2003. I purchased mine in mid 1999 and at the time was told that that model was just released, excellent cutter and is still working just fine. Took a second look, definetly the 4100 series and not the...
  12. PC-600 Ribbons

Anybody still using a PC-600 and lookin for a good source for ribbons go to e-bay and do a search for "Roland PC". This seller currently has two lots of ribbons up for sale, I have purchased hundreds of ribbons from this seller and can assure you that these are genuine Roland ribbons, I've...
  13. Versaworks Vs Flexi Rip

When I bought my Versacamm the only digital printing experience I had to draw on was that of printing with my Roland PC-600 thermal resin printer and Flexi was definetly the prefered RIP over Rolands Color Choice in my opinion, it gives you much more control over the output options and basically...
  14. digital cameras

Well I'm definetly no camera buff but for the last 9 years I've been really happy with my Olympus E-10 Digital SLR, works great for the business. I just purchased a Canon A650 IS compact digital camera primarily for carrying on the bike for those scenic shots along my rides throught Northern...
  15. Versaworks users, why does the RIP program...

As previously stated I believe it's the .EPS file format Margin setting that's necessary in Versaworks. For example mine is set to .1 so when I print multiples of an image it has the .1" for each image + the copy spacing of lets say .2" the total space now between multiple printed images is .4...
  16. Installing 3rd Party Profiles in Versaworks

Can someone tell me how to go about installing 3rd party profiles (Oracal) into Versaworks, I can't find any instruction on this anywhere. I've downloaded the profiles from Oracals site, open the Zip file to find an RML file, what is an RML file and what do I do with it to get that profile into...
  17. Pc -60

The PC-600 has the cut-off feature but my Graphtec cutter does not so I've alway's used one of these as to not be cutting directly on the machine and maring it up. Very cheap, about 50 cents at office supply stores.
  18. PC-60 Banding Issues

Roland warned against using the head cleaning paper sheet as it can be too abrasive and possibly damage/destroy the print head. The only time I found Z9 ribbons to be helpful was to hit a desired spot color . . . (or unless of course you just want your prints to fade out really really fast...
  19. Vinyl Cutting

If you do not have software that has paneling capabilities within it's cut/plot section then simply panel the artwork manually within your chosen vector design program, a simple task that takes all of about 5 seconds if that, do not forget to create/compensate for an overlap.

Rival Art might be able to do that for you. http://www.rivalart.com/default.htm
