If for some reason (material shortage, schedule, etc) I can't provide what the customer wants (or thinks they want) I have a reply that has worked very well , kept them from walking out the door and gotten future work..... here's basically what I say:
"I'm so sorry I can't provide that specific...
If those are the colors she wants maybe reverse the colors to a white background and green copy. Ugly either way. but I think reversed would read easier.
Wow! I just started using Signs 365 a few months ago and have had beautiful prints and great customer service. I think their prices are more than fair considering the cost of supplies.
Do you have a local sign company that would be willing to work with you?
Best thing to do if you want that fast...
I have some old equipment I need to get rid of. $800 takes both.
The Mutoh printer is fully operational and has a media take up roll on it but it needs a new print head and lines. I used this printer up until a few months ago but not daily so little by little the head became clogged and it has...
I'm trying to contour cut some decals on FC 7000-130 using CM2. I have both the plotter and the controller set to HPGL. There is plenty of material around the registration marks and all marks are being read fine but then I get a Error 1 Instruction not recognized message and it doesn't cut the...
It was working fine until the Y motor went bad. I was getting a Y position alarm constantly. I cleaned everything really well and it worked again for about a week or two then the Y position alarm started and wouldn't stop.
I contacted Graphtec. I did a factory reset but it didn't help so I...
Does anyone have a 7000 series cutter running with Wasatch and willing to help me check some settings?
I've been posting a couple issues lately but I still need just a little help.
I replaced the Y motor and the plotter will cut fine in GPGL mode using Cutting Master 2 and CorelX6 (vinyl only)...
Thanks, great idea.
Thankfully, I have a backup Mimaki so I can still print and cut but I don't want to give up on this until I know for sure it doesn't work.
I'm staying positive that it does.
Thanks for your suggestion. I tried both but it's not cutting in either sheet or roll mode. It's recieving the data but once the data gets there is acting like it doesn't know what to do with it.
I installed cutting master on a different computer and ran the test cut from Cutting master and it...
I thought I had my Y position error fixed, after cleaning rails etc. it worked great for a little over a week but long story short I ended up replacing my Y motor.
The Y position error is gone and the plotter initializes normally, senses the media length and width just fine and will do the cut...
Just checking and appologies if this may be obvious but did you double check the cutting options section and have the box next to Cutting Registration Marks checked? I use version 7 so I'm not sure if the setting section is the same. Are you using HGPL or GPGL? If using GPGL did you accidently...
Apologies for the lengthy post but I know there have been a few posts on the Y Position Error on Graphtec plotters from time to time and I wanted to share this hoping it may help some of you that encounter this problem. I feel your frustration! Good news is, your plotter might just be dirty and...

There are also some great sign writing resources from the national archives. Old books you can download. One from E.C. Matthews is great. There are many others and full of illustration! Just search archive.org
This happens very sporadically and there's not much rhyme or reason to it.
This has happened a handful of times the whole 11 years I've owned this printer and on long prints ...the printer looses connection with the TCP address and stops printing. I get a Winsock 10054 error. Thought maybe it...
