I've really been thinking about the 3m brewhah and switching over to Oracal's print vinyl. I have always used oracal cut vinyl and have been very happy with its performance. The only reason I use 3m vinyl is Grimco's free shipping. Maybe it's time to give the cowboy a shot and try Oracal.

I'm been mainly using 3m IJ35 for alot of my short/medium term outdoor signage and have also used it for a few coffee shop menu boards. However the shrinkage with this vinyl is pretty bad only after year of being printed. Short of using cast for these outdoor menu boards, what calendared vinyl...

Is it IJ680? If so print away and laminate with a cast lam. In your case 8518 or 8519

My CJV30 runs dampers about 1/4 full and less. I would also check your ribbon cables that attach to your slider board. One might have come loose. Its a long shot..but it fixed my problem awhile back. More than likely though it's your capping station.

This is a shot in the dark as I've not seen this before, but in looks like in your pic you might have a cut line enabled. If so deselect the cut line an see what happens. Weird stuff like this definitely takes a few days off your lifetime.

Yep..JV33 and CJV30 are mostly the same. Should note on step three. It is not the up and down arrow keys. It is the left and right keys. You will also have to restart the machine by turning off the main power switch and then turning it back on while holding down the function and remote button.

If anyone is interested I have a pdf file with instructions on how to adjust your capping station. My CJV30 was off quite a bit from when it was first set up.

In Rasterlink try using pure K. There's a box you can check in the color edit tab. I also just recently had some banding issues in my Magenta. I adjusted the capping station and it fixed it right up.

While it's printing you can push the function key and adjsut feed comp on the fly.
