Have you tried adjusting the feed compensation while it's printing or adjusted the heat setting? I ran into this just recently, it was a heat issue for me.

Be careful, the fumes coming off the printer are nasty stuff (which you probably know). It may smell good to some, but it can slowly kill you overtime. I have a small print area and if I don't turn my homemade exhaust on, I get a rockin headache for part of the day.

With Vandalguard what ever you do, don't use a blue expo marker. It will leave some very bad ghosting. Had to replace 4 menu boards because of that issue.

I tried this method a few times and gave up on it. Briteline lam has a thin backing also. I've learned to push with one hand and pull the backing up with the other. However, I might get a roll of Arlon also and try it out also.
