+1 what Colorado said.
here's a couple tricks that might make it even easier.
If the vinyl is very thin, run a piece of masking tape across the top edge. This will make it a little thicker and a little easier to handle.
Instead of running your hinge down the centre, run it about 1' below...
I'm not much of a hunter but you did mention "smoking moose". If you are looking to smoke meat at home, I highly recommend looking at a Bradley Smoker. http://www.bradleysmoker.com/
With a little practice you can make everything from smoked salmon to pulled pork and million other things...
Thanks for input guys but seriously, it's not the file. How do I know this for a fact? Because I was able to cut the job in VersaWorks with no issues. Sorry to see you go Oldpaint.
The problem is in CM2. Doesn't sound like anyone else has had this issue so I think I'll try to reinstall the...
Thanks OldPaint but it is a vector file and I've gone over it to make sure there's no invisible artifacts. The problem isn't the in the file but rather tiling feature in CM2.
Blue is a pretty hard colour to hit on a lot of different printers. If the banding is unacceptable (looks decent from the pic though) try running the file in uni-directional. I have a feeling this may be a case of "the lawnmower effect".
I've been messing around with this today in my spare time. I have no idea what the hell is going on. I'm usually pretty good at figuring out why software does what it does but this has me stumped. Using a variety of settings, I get one of the following results.
1 - cuts the entire image but...
It can't be that because the line that's getting multiple cuts isn't even in the file. It's a line that's being introduced by the tilling feature. For some reason, the software isn't picking up on the fact that it only needs to cut that line once.
I haven't used this program enough to fully understand how it works or why it behaves the way it does. I've tried to cut this file several times and I keep getting different results based on what buttons I've checked off. The file is about 60"x63" so I'm using 3 tiles of equal size. The...
Laquer sounds like a really bad idea.
how are you applying the vinyl? Wet, dry? By hand or with a laminator? Sometimes people forget that you have to use pressure to activate the adhesive in Pressure Sensitive Vinyl.
I would think that a 54" printer/cutter (Roland, mimaki or other) would be a good start. You will also need at least a 55" laminator.
A good computer and up to date software is also a must.
A good work table with straight edges and various other tools will also come in handy.
Buying the...
