Ya it's weird. I've tried changing file names and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I just wish I knew the actual reason behind the problem so I could either avoid it all together or come up with a quick and easy solution.

NOt to be a PITA, but my actually hits a lot of pantone colour with ease. Not all of them, but a lot. I suggested using a transparency because it's the background of the image therefore there is nothing behind it. I'm not sure what the tint ramp is. Can you explain?

Just a thought but couldn't you make the BG the same colour and adjust the transparency to make it look lighter?

An alternative to fiber glass woould be a 2 part hard coat. find somebody with an MX sprayer (usually a painter or a insulation company) and have them spray it on the foam carving. The stuff is practically bullet proof and you can easily paint it. Not sure how to mount it though.

what did you print with? the blue looks great. Such a hard colour to hit.
