Go with 70/30 and maybe "tint" the windows on the inside. You can get a static cling type tint from Lowes. This would help keep the light from passing though the windows and washing out the image.

Tubelite sells 3M 3630 series translucent vinyl by the yard. Shovelhead, I believe that 3M 3630 is a cast vinyl.. it's 2 mil so I assume it's cast.

I'll have one... I've got an iPhone 3Gs and a MacBook Pro.. this will be the perfect in-between machine. I know that the iPad is not designed to be a Tablet PC... it's closest completion would be the amazon Kindel or any other ebook reader. This won't become my next design computer for sure...

I use the Type 2 registration marks... be sure to set the origin in the CENTER of the registration mark, not right on the intersection. Aslo the DVD that came with it is VERY helpful.
