  1. Looking for new business- what has worked for you?

When I am driving down the road, I keep business cards in the car. If I see a company who has a broken sign, I stop by and tell them I can fix it. Once you fix their bigger sign, they also get you to do everything else. Works for me.

  5. HP Latex vs JV33??

I use the es3 inks on my jv33.. i cant say they are odorless, but not bad. Better plan on laminating EVERYTHING you print though, they dont have the same bite as the solvent you are used to.
  6. Logo help, please!

I like the birds! Something about the 2 I don't. Out of all of them, i like the bottom left the most.
  7. 10X inflation in the last 40 years.

I agree, but the feds dont want people to be able to carry large amounts of it around, it's easier to smuggle that way, and harder to track your spending.
  8. Too Good to be True!!

Why not plug it in and see what happens? If you're the luckiest man in the world you will plug it in, do a head soak and it will work.... maybe the sign shop had it ready for storage. (If it was all "inked up" - probably not) Or.. you could just go here...

  14. Just Published a Book on Amazon

Curious, what do they need an ISDN for? Or am I thinking of the wrong thing? We used to use ISDN lines to do remote broadcasts in radio. Nevermind, looked up isdn book publishing, and it directed me to ISBN.. cool.
  15. Aww (insert expletive here) - bad head strike now will not detect media.

Sightline you made my day. I looked under there again, and the hole where I thought something was supposed to go was empty. So, I took the cover off of the head and there it was lying on it's side accusing me of printer brutality. I snapped it back into place, gave it a little "I am so sorry...
  16. Aww (insert expletive here) - bad head strike now will not detect media.

JV33 - had my first bad head strike, it was on 13oz banner material and it got bunched up and of course, the head jammed up. All I could do was turn the machine off and move the head back to the capping station. I turned it back on, it detected media fine, and ran a good test print... so I...
