Put two pieces of magnetic sheeting together, without any steel for them to stick to. They stick, but very weakly. I'm pretty sure the wind would blow them apart even at minimal speeds.
Maybe they need the box to ship to someone else, especially if they cut large rolls down to small rolls themselves. From now on, tell them you need it in the box to avoid damage when transporting it back to your shop.
You can do a search on it but I believe I've seen at least one thread where somebody said they printed on regular translucent vinyl. In my experience it leaves little to no adhesive behind.
1. What did you do to modify it?
2. Unmodified, is it able to carry multiple sheets of dibond at once?
I'm thinking of getting one for my old man. He has a side job delivering sign supplies by himself.
When I started looking, I thought I wanted a print/cut machine. I was advised to buy separate machines from posters here. They were 100% right. I bought used, a Mimaki JV3-160SP and CG160FX. I love them both.

Do a search. There is a lot of great info. Some people make one clear print and one white trans print. Others double print the same media. Do some reading.
Translucent vinyl should come off easily and leave very little adhesive behind, unless it's so old that it's brittle and destroyed by the sun. In that case you really need a new face anyway.
