  1. New layout for "Let's Rid Our Area of Ugly Signs" campaign

Good goal to rid the world of ugly signs :thumb: Big improvement and before and afters are worth more than a thousand words!
  2. A couple of signs finished this past week

The prismatic lettering is done with ProfileLab on the router table but I think we're going to shift over to Aspire 3D. I have both but my router guy says some thing are simpler to do with ProfileLab and other things are easier with Aspire. So I'll may just keep using both.
  3. A couple of signs finished this past week

Made two new Chamber of Commerce signs and installed over the weekend. One for their side wall and the other front and center. The Homuths signs are done but they are picking them up today and doing the install themselves. I hope to get a few photos once they're installed with the post and...
  4. Signs 101 Design Contest • Vote for your favorite

True, it was a difficult decision. I struggled with my final choice.
  5. Love these kind of jobs

Great link Rick!! Lots of eye candy :)
  7. Corel jacked up kerning when fitting text to path

I have done that but the results are still crap. I actually get better results by breaking every letter apart and the positioning. when using the shape tool you can move the letters, but most have to be rotated to make them appear at the right angel on your arc. I've found no other way to get...
  8. lobby sign hints and help

SignManiac say you get expensive education and you live long life.. Sand your PVC and then spray light coats. I process a ton of PVC letters and do quite a few lobby/reception office signs using PVC. The final finish is a direct result of the prep work you put into the sanding and priming if...
  9. Corel jacked up kerning when fitting text to path

Ok, so it seems that whenever I attempt to fit text to path in Coreldraw, the kerning is always crap. Hitting F 10 to edit nodes results in even worse if using the slider arrow. Is there another method than manually adjusting every letter node by node? As you can see here, the right side...
  10. Signs 101 Design Contest for New Federal Division

Awesome Tiki! Hands down my favorite so far!
  11. Masons Lodge sign finished and installed today

As a matter of fact, the balls and columns are symbolic and inside most of the lodges. It was a request that they be incorporated into the sign. It was intended to be a main feature of the sign. I guess it's one of the secret things about the free masons that everyday folk wouldn't be...
  12. Family Party Design / Banner

    You need a theme.
  13. Organization Help

I just yell out to everyone what I want done. I sit them down, show them the file, explain what should be done. They write stuff down and do what I ask. They seldom make mistakes. I juggle so much stuff in such a random order that no system would work for me since 90% of what's going on is in my...
  14. Masons Lodge sign finished and installed today

I didn't purchase them, but my partner said he bought them at Home Depot and they aren't the cheap ones. I guess the more you spend, the better they are!
  15. Masons Lodge sign finished and installed today

As promised, here's a shot with some landscaping and also a night shot with some solar powered lights.
  16. Church Pricing?

I like to hand them MY collection plate!
  17. ANAGRAPH AE 75E and Anaplot--No Communication

Spend $200 for cocut. I have an AE-101 plus the AE-70 and drive through Corel. Works good and will save you the aggravation.
  18. Hi-Rise Photography

Reminds me fondly of my first time going up in a hot air balloon. We got up to 6,500' and I jumped out. Eerily silent on exit and amazing looking back up at the balloon pilot as the balloon disappeared in a matter of seconds :)
  19. Masons Lodge sign finished and installed today

Thanks everyone. I had no idea my balls would be so impressive to everyone, But after nearly sixty years going strong, my knees are starting to feel the effects of them swinging side to side. Seriously, I'm satisfied with this project. I did it for my best friend and business partner who...
