Bring the printhead to the maintenance area on the left. Shine a flash light on it and see if black ink starts to leak or bead up on the printhead surface. If yes the black damper is stuck open.
Compare the two and pick the one that suits your preferences.
Solvent I have never had to wear gloves to print or perform standard maintenance (Mutoh, Mimaki, Roland and Vanguard certified repairman).
Solvent heads cost more per head, but over the life of a Latex Printer you replace heads every...
Ink is OK to mix. Sold it for years, had issues with the chips and bung. Nazdar also makes 20/20 ink. I now sell STS ink. It is a better ink, free freight.
You don't have ink in the magenta side of the head and are missing nozzles in the cyan and the yellow. Hire a tech.,. This is a 2 hour job for a good tech.
I would look at a UV printer. No head replacements, no electrician, no bigger AC unit to combat the heat (up side furnace runs less in the winter), no lamination requires other than wraps, no de-gas (solvent). UCJV300 if needed you can print white. Ink comes in liter bottles. Prints on more...
