  1. FlexiSign Pro 10 Media Profiles

Sometimes it's the temperature. Sometimes the ink percentages, sometimes the vibrancy, sometimes the contrast. It all depends on what the print looks like compare to what you think it should look like. I haven't run Flexi in a year or so, and there was never a single thing you could do to...
  2. FlexiSign Pro 10 Media Profiles

One of the buttons on the top of the Production Manager, if I recall. You need a spectrophotometer. If you don't have one, and can't justify the expense, I suggest trying to tweak an existing profile to your liking for whatever media you want to use it on, and saving the profile under a...
  3. FlexiSign Pro 10 Media Profiles

Check the media manufacturer's web sites would be my suggestion. Flexi is limited, but SAI assumes that users will be doing their own profiling, according to the techs that I had a chance to ask about needing specific media profiles.
  4. OKI E64s vs Mimaki JV150

    - Nothing wrong with Mutoh- if you get the eight color version. If you get the four color, you're going to have limited color gamuts. Don't get me wrong, I love the way they run, and they're pretty simple to work with, but I'd have to spend the extra money for the eight color version. - I run...
  5. FlexiSign Pro 10 Media Profiles

Canned profiles can be found here but you're probably going to need to tweak them if you want accurate color.
  6. Creating sequential numbered artwork

    Learned something new today. Thanks!
  7. Best choice for vinyl and laminate

Direct quote from 3M's Product Bulletin on this material: Working with Rivets • This film will tent when applied over rivets. • If the rivets are closely spaced, the film will bridge between rivets. • Tented or bridged film may fail prematurely. • For the best appearance and durability, 3M...
  8. Creating sequential numbered artwork

I think you'd either have to find or write your own macro to get Illustrator to do it. Along with the programs GB2 mentioned, most industry specific programs have the feature- and I think I remember seeing a macro posted here in the past to use the function in CorelDraw.
  9. Mini Monument pricing help

I would avoid PVC for this completely. It will warp when used this way in Florida- unless you spring for marine grade, and then they're really not going to like your price. It warps here in Georgia, too, when people use it this way. ACM is probably your best bet- with the bonus that it'll be...
  10. Good, inexpensive print vinyl?

That's why I suggested it- if you can install the "more difficult" products, the premium ones should be no problem. (Though I will say that AutoMark is an easy install).
  11. Oracal 631 one day vehicle wrap

Agreed, but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen based on what's been posted so far.
  12. Hello from Kansas City!

    Welcome. Good luck.
  13. Scaffolding for over cab installs?

Thank you for that this morning!
  14. New to industry: Need clarification on print/cut machine advice from Roland dealer.

I didn't even look at the link (not something I'd be interested in), but absolutely!
  15. Good, inexpensive print vinyl?

General Formulations' AutoMark springs immediately to mind. There are a number of merchant members here who could probably offer a low-cost material for this use. I'd also suggest contacting your regular suppliers and asking for sample rolls of the high end material/laminate so you can practice...
  16. Online vendors for supplies and equipment?

Try some of the Merchant Members here. Reece, Glantz, and Advantage also offer online ordering. Websites are great for ordering and all, but I really like getting someone on the phone who can actually confirm they have what I need by getting out of their chair and going into the warehouse and...
  17. Would your shop take this wrap job?

Your salesperson must have been a great date- what with their inability to say no to such a ridiculous request. Skip them, go straight to the boss/owner and explain that the work is beyond your ability (absolutely no shame in that- the guy wants a commissioned piece of art). If the top dog barks...
  18. Question Photoshop help with customer please

Posted to the wrong thread, sorry!

Or a Gerber Edge/Edge II, if that's your max size.
