depends on the powder coat. i have done jobs where it's a fine matte finish and no problems sticking oracal 3651 to it but i have done jobs where it is very textured and had to use specialty 3M adhesives (that would be a situation where the arlon 8000 would be good, like someone already suggested)
+1
we have the LEJ640 and we have done this. there is a setting in versa works (i can look it up if you need the info) the amount of passes is determined by how high or how much of a 3D/embossed look you want. we have done some effects for prototype boxes with 1-2 passed and we have done a sign...
how old is the machine?
could need to replace the rubber wheels on the pinch rollers, that could be one thing and you could do it your self, not hard. also your optical sensor could need to be replaced. that you need a tech guy to do (well i did but maybe it's something you could do your self)
only took them for 3 days after the surgery didn't need them after that so i am good but have a bunch left over in case of an emergency or for recreation..haha
we have been using fiber mark materials for paper/poster. they have a variety to choose from. been using it almost a year with no problems. solvent or uv print. not too expensive either.
sure wasn't pleasant. hurt like a MFer. can't even describe it other than if you have had real bad back problems, like where you can't walk or move then multiply that x3 or 5 and you are getting there.
Gino i was hoping the anesthesia would take the place of the:bushmill:
glad to be back at...
had a bad herniated disc i was struggling with for the past 3 1/2 years. had an endoscopic discectomy. all went well except for waking up in the middle of the surgery. that my friend was extremely painfull.
been out for a couple of weeks had back surgery but doing good and back at the office, also back with questions.
got a customer looking for some printing on felt banner/pennant material.
anyone have a source for this material? i think i can either silk screen it or run it through my UV printer

unfortunately we are always fighting a price/cost issue but some jobs you just can't cut corners. the ultra board or gator are going to give you the best result and if you don't have a router/cnc to cut with you are kind of at the mercy of the vendor.
we have a vp and that looks like a heat issue (as many have already said) but could also be a profile setting. what material are you using and what profile are you using in versa works?
i have seen issues like that if someone used the wrong material profile. also have you done manual cleanings...
