with out seeing the final art it hard to help you exactly but...when we have to do that we tape down the graphic and do the hinge method like already mentioned but not by hand. after it's taped down i lift the laminator wheel up and put the composite half way through then lower the wheel and cut...
looks like a heat or material profile issue. we have vp540, xc-540 and xr-640 and when we have had similar issues it was a heat or material profile problem. either the heat was off or too low for some reason or they used a generic profile. we use glossy calendared vinyl and matte calendered...
anything you print is going to use CMYK to create your image. the only thing that will print 100% black with out CMY are the crop marks for cutting alignment. found that out because i was having an issue that my crop marks wouldn't print. turned out that my black wasn't registering correctly and...
ok
thanks
the print/graphics i was going to sub print on gloss polycarbonate on my uv and back it with white then adhesive and mount it to the wood. just trying to get a better base material.
customer needs a new sign/plaque for outdoor use.
is there a similar material to the wooden plaque board that will hold up outside?
or can i just put clear on a new wood plaque (if so what would you recommend)?
i had the same issue with a gray job i did recently. it had a flood gray background and the machine kept producing that type of banding. the people we bought the printer from told me it might be a static issue if not it's because it's hard to hit the gray color. we are using a roland LEJ so i...
recently had to do a couple of trucks for a customer, they had to be done to get to a new location. couldn't wait and couldn't do them inside. temps varied from 29-33 degrees. had a couple of issues getting the vinyl to stick on the steel boom of the trucks but hit it with the torch and it was...
frank is just being a DB now. used to be you had to enter your customer code to get the pricing. i wonder what the ratio is to new business he will get to how much he will lose by doing this.
used to buy a lot from them but it has quickly decreased over the years because they don't have the...
i think you get that with any job/career when it gets super busy or stressful. just have to have out of office hobbies to help relieve the stress, my hobby is scotch. when i get stressed out i just bury my self in my hobby, crack open a bottle of 18year old and the stress drifts away...haha but...
we have used the aluminum faced plywood many times also, luckily no complaints but that's not to say that it didn't happen just nothing was done about it or the place we used it just got a new sign and didn't get it from us. lately we have been using more and more of the aluminum face with the...
we came back from our holiday shut down and had to jump out running. it was busy when we shut down and luckily only had to work two days during vacation but since we are back it's been nuts and of course everyone is in a hurry. i am happy to be busy so not going to complain. we did lose one guy...

i just look at the pictures. i really like those pop up books.
i read a little of everything but probably not enough of what i need. hard to find time to sit down and focus on reading a book or magazine all the way through but scran through here and there. mostly the trade magazines we get...
sorry my bosch is electric but i always bring my generator with me on those jobs so good to go. my cordless tools are craftsman 19V and they die out before the job is done. also use the bosch blue bits with no problems, seem to last through a lot of holes
i have a bosch 1199vsr. it's about 7 yrs old but i have gotten my money's worth. used it to drill in to brick, cement, cinder block, steel girders you name it
.003 or .005 foil (aluminum) metalphoto process w/ 3M adhesive
that will meet all the specs. nothing you can print on the edge will be good for that. even if the polyester/mylar stands up to the fire/heat i think you will have issues with the edge foil.
