this looks like an 8" version of the standard 4" scraper most use. It also have a handle that lets you reach farther. The wider blade might help speed it up some.

How big is the sign? I would use HDU, rout the background stripes, mount another HDU with v-groove routed letters.

I too thought it was a good way to deal with different sized signs and it doesn't destroy the wooden background with a ton of holes.

I always wonder why a customer is calling me when they had the job done by another company. Ask them to look at the invoice for the job as it should have a description of what was done.

You could v-groove route the copy to help make them look nicer then paint them a matte finish so they don't look like plastic.
