  1. Need Help Golf course sign materials

    080 can take a beating.
  2. Bonding polymetal to concrete?

Is this concrete new or old? Painted or not painted? Smooth or rough? If older, painted and smooth, VHB and construction adhesive should be OK. I would do physical fasteners on concrete no matter what but if you can't I'd be sure that the concrete surface can deal with adhesive.
  3. Question Sign cleaning quotes.

Hourly rate plus materials. Also is this a washing or a brush out the spiders? If washing, add on for getting water to it and any equipment needed to make that happen.
  4. Sign Shop Meme

Keep your day job as your memes aren't funny.
  5. 5 post limit per day

I get that but help can be given without giving it all away. Pointing someone in the right direction or sharing your mistakes does a lot to help others.
  6. 5 post limit per day

What you forgot to add was you were a good and fair moderator who helped keep us inline. I do agree with sign support that the moderators do need a comprehensive set of guidelines. We had a thread that was way out of line and it was clear that the moderators wanted to shut it down and the owner...
  7. Are sign professionals just giving up?

I think we all get the customer that thinks they know better than we do when it comes to signs. It just isn't the design but the whole process right down to materials and installs.
  8. 5 post limit per day

What we do need is actual moderators who will shut down a thread that has gone bad and who will remove disgusting threads.
  9. Some memes I created

I think we are forgetting the real jerk in all of this, AMS who posted those disgusting memes. No matter how much we are bickering with each other, no one has supported this clown so we are all on the same side.
  10. Rant What's the point? - Pointless phone calls.

Not too sure what caught you off guard as even if the comment made was directed at you, it was just chit chat about what he'd do. Since this thread is about that, not too sure why that would upset anyone as it was a highly civil comment.
  11. Rant What's the point? - Pointless phone calls.

WTF? Who gave you any advice and how did become about you? We all hate these kinds of calls and it's interesting to see we pretty much all do the same things. Why spoil a thread that so far, has been civil.
  12. Computer to show proofs

I would have the proof in print or approved by e-mail as when they claim you screwed up the numbers, you can show them the proof that was OK'd. It only takes a second to produce a proof that can be signed off on or e-mailed for approval. If you want to just show them on screen as it is a quick...
  13. Rant What's the point? - Pointless phone calls.

Ask them for an e-mail address that you can send a written quote to. The real people will give you one, the tire kickers usually just want a phone quote.
  14. Some memes I created

wow you get the a-hole award for the day AMS.
  15. How to vectorize a vehicle to look like clipart?

The example the OP posted will never be a vector as way too much detail and shading. This matches up to what he was talking about. If he wants to turn a photo into something like he showed, the youtube photoshop method does that.
  16. How to vectorize a vehicle to look like clipart?

I watched the youtube link Fred posted and did this really quickly so it isn't perfect, but it works really great to turn a photo into a drawing.
  17. Problem with Omega design

I noticed it when I kept getting just what the OP had happen to him and was trying all the choke and spread when I saw that option.
  18. Das Haus

I love that you were able to do a nice post and iron work set up. People forget that the post and hardware really can make a sign extra special. You could have hung a very plain sign on this and it still would have been beautiful. Nice work!
  19. Problem with Omega design

On the plot page click on print options. On the right hand side you'll see a menu "shrink under print". Click on primer and you can set how much you want to shrink it.
  20. Das Haus

I love the iron and that post. The sign looks really nice.
