  1. Need Help Vehicle Wraps

I learned using 3M almost exclusively for a while, can't say I wish I started with anything else. Eventually you have to learn to work with everything.
  2. Adhesive recommendation for indoor decals

On a wall? We typically use IJ40 wherever we can indoors.

  4. HELP VINYL LETTERING NOT STICKING TO WALLS!!

Yea, we always test first. You could try printing the colours or laminate the coloured film onto something with a more aggressive adhesive and then run it through your cutter.
  5. Wrap(ish) Question...

I usually leave the handles and remove the emblems. Put them back on after or give to the customer depending on what they want.
  6. How to accomplish this with Illy?

Use gradient meshes. You'll have to play with them a bit. Put points all around the edge of the picture and sample the color at the point in the picture that it is touching for each point.
  7. Media advice for Latex 335

The 18oz pole banner was a nightmare for us despite being listed as compatible, especially on double sided prints. Could have just been a profile issue, but after trying to tweak it for too long, we just switched brands.
  8. Latex 360 Curing module dilemma.

The heaters in Canada were about 550 a piece, if it's under warranty then you should take advantage of that as much as possible. The cleaning will help if it's obstructing air flow, which should fix the issue for, im guessing a year or two, till you need to go in and do it again. Some shops...
  9. Media advice for Latex 335

We've had nothing but problems with Ultraflex banner materials, basically all of them.
  10. Latex 360 Curing module dilemma.

We had basically the same issue, even at 240 degrees. We ended up having to replace the heater units in the front. It is pretty easy to get in there so you could take it apart and give it a clean before forking out the cash for heaters. A temporary fix you could try is adding inter-pass delay to...
  11. Cleaning HP Latex Printer Rails with 95% Ethanol

I just use Isopropyl Alcohol, when techs come to work on our printer they ask to use it as well if they didn't bring any.
  12. Unsatisfactory overspray/text quality printing with HP Latex 370

We print almost everything at 600dpi, small text included without issues. When we drop to 300 or 150, we get an overspray, but I don't think it's as bad as you're experiencing. If that's still happening at 600, I'm tempted to say it's either a profile or printhead issue. Try doing an image...
  13. Unsatisfactory overspray/text quality printing with HP Latex 370

Have you tried 600dpi? Is the text vector or rastered?
  14. Ink build up on HP latex 360 printhead?

Ive only ever had that part separate from head strikes or just age. My guess is that it started separating without any ink build-up and it just got worse as ink got underneath the strip. Typically when I see this type of thing, the head is bust.
  15. Maintenance #3

That's pretty typical, we've had the printer for around 4 years, had it done once and are at 58% with the new one. We have the tech do it, I may look into doing it myself since I've been swapping heaters and sensors out myself to save some money.
  16. Flat storage of 4x8 sheets

We built a simple shelf that holds all our sheets out of wood, pretty easy to make.
  17. another illy question

I would just make 4 artboards and space them 2" apart. No need for clipping masks then.
  18. Templates and vectors

Spike We use this for getting quick measurements for quotes and design of flat wall wraps/lightboxes. Always double check before print though since it can be slightly off at times. Download 100k+ Free Vectors, Clip Art Designs, Icons & Illustrations Good place for free design vectors if...
  19. 3M IJ180 on HP 360

I just raise the level for the rollers when loading it and the leading edge doesn't catch. Never had head strikes though.
