  1. Paint Mask Questions

I have some questions for you guys experienced with paint mask and acrylic/latex type paints. I'm having issues with the mask taking some of the letter color off the base color (Also waterbased) when removing the mask. I've read it's better to peel while still wet, but what if you need 2...

  3. Ce 2000-60?

I have that model. Love it. It's older, but runs like a tank and makes very impressive cuts. I think I paid the same for just the cutter and stand. Sounds like a great deal.
  4. Race Trailer Wrap. Give me your thoughts

See Ricks comment above on developing taste. I think that's where you're at right now. And remember, YOU are the professional. A big part of this business is learning to play that part and guide your customers in the right direction. Once you develop your taste and eye for good design, you...

Summa, Graphtec and Roland would all treat you well Tim. Even older models will be fine for your needs. I'm using an old Graphtec CE-2000, I'd guess at least 15-20 years old, but works great for my limited needs. Very accurate and never lets me down. I've also owned a couple of older roland...

  15. First try at hand carving....

You know, I'm not sure. I was given a bunch of scraps a couple years back and it was in the pile. Maybe it's older signfoam stock? Must be pretty lightweight, it's not even close to the 15lb Duna sample I have.
  16. First try at hand carving....

Vinyl stencils can make anyone looks good ;)
  17. First try at hand carving....

Thanks Bill. Seems like there isn't much left that can't be done by a computer controlled device. Trying to develop a unique skill so as not to have to have to worry about competing with all the other "sticker cutters" in town. Seems to be a dying skill, even more so than hand painting...
  18. First try at hand carving....

his isn't the best pic, still need to work on my photography skills. Going to try to get some better ones in a bit. Trying to teach myself to hand carve signs. I've also gotten some great help from Adrian Page on this. Learned a lot on this one, namely not to use crappy HDU. This stuff was...

  20. Wholesale source for sandblasted wood signs?

This argument isn't logical. So do printers, embroiderers, screen printers, promotional product manufacturers etc. all have the responsibility to fix design flaws and make sure everything looks pretty to their eyes before production? They're in the wholesale business. The sign shop...
