we used to run them on our roland XC on 10mil pvc or reg vinyl and mount it to something rigid but now we run them on our LEJ uv machine and we can print on what ever we want.
hard to tell from the pick. it does look like clear acrylic because you can see through it but the edge either has a polished finish or has some sort of chrome vinyl or something like that applied to it.
custom cut white acrylic for the MK and graphics mounted to the clear . on the edges hard to tell if it has some sort of a chrome finish or if it's just a polished edge.
for stuff like this we use EMCO plastics, cedar grove NJ. i am sure you can find someone closer to you but if not give them a try
what do you use to make a frame for 4x10 alum sign mounted to building. in the past i use 1"sq tubing and make the skeleton and rivet the alum sign face to the frame then metal corner over the edges. having trouble finding the corner strips. anyone know where to get them or have better ideas for...

on a serious note....do you have any business lined up, where are your customers coming from? what do you do now? i hope you aren't quitting your current job to cut vinyl. if you where thinking of doing it on the side but still have a full time job/steady...
for me it just depends on how busy i am in the office. usually when i get started in the morning i get my emails up and running then open 101 and it stays open all day but i can get busy and don't look at it for a few hours or a couple of days. doesn't much matter what the content is.
usually i will make a proof with their idea and some choices we come up with and go with what ever they pick. some take our advice and some don't but bottom line we get a job and get
paid. i have one customer that we do their trucks and all the owner wants is the company name big...BIG all over...
i am up for another one as long as it's with in a two state radius from jersey. just so i can stay in driving range.
i could probably use our place in Garfield but there isn't much real close for accommodations. i could check this out further if there is an interest.
as far as food and booze...
if you have white and or metallic inks you need to shake them everyday (or as much as you can remember. ours are shaken at least 3 times a week but usually more) the white and metallic inks settle so if you don't use them for a while you can have issues. the other problem is roland eco-sol white...
i use the oracal 651 for something like that. you could even use cheaper stuff it doesn't matter because you don't need to see the artwork through the adhesive. the art work will be flush against the window.
trim your existing decal close to the edges of the artwork then cut a piece of clear vinyl about 1/4-1/2" bigger all the way around. now mount the two together, adhesive to adhesive. now you will have the excess clear vinyl around the edges of your existing decal and you can stick it to the...
