  1. RapidTac RAPID REMOVER

I wouldn't go that far. I use it occasionally to remove old gild from wood award plaques that I have to update - gold and all. I've even used it to remove dried One-Shot in a pinch.. anything that can dissolve petroleum products probably shouldn't be inhaled.
  2. How much should I charge for 20 truck trailor lettering/decals for each of them 75 squre ft dealingr

This is true. The only thing I had to go on was instinct and one of those "Sign Pricing Guides" that you had to order... which was worthless depending where you were located in the market.
  3. How much should I charge for 20 truck trailor lettering/decals for each of them 75 squre ft dealingr

I love questions like these. New guy, new to the business (website still has holding text) and doesn't know where to go or what to charge.. and he's bidding on 20 tractor trailers... God I love this business sometimes.. :snarky:

  7. Horror stories about sign companies

Too bad I didn't see this thread day before yesterday or I would have snapped a photo. Fitting new faces in a typical slide-in lit box. Customer says that it never lit right, but doesn't want to mess with it right now (good thing.. we were only there for the faces). Pulled the old ones out and...

  10. Rant Crazy Prices

So who's the 'national scale competitor'? I'm using Grimco more and more since my local is trimming away their wares little by little.
  11. Question Sandblasting Komacel vs Komatex

Yep, you can't sandblast pvc and expect decent results. Routing is the only way to go. That said, as Jean mentioned, quality latex paints will work. I typically paint all my stuff with automotive grade urethanes, including pvc.

  14. Wordpress- Deleting Media Issues

Wordpress has a pretty good following. I have a couple sites set up through it. Never had an issue deleting images from the library or pages. You have to edit the pages, not just the library, to eliminate the images. Depending on how you access Wordpress (you should have an admin extension), you...
  15. STEEL BEAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or when you work from the plans, in concert with the architect and when the time comes to put up said channel letters find that the builders lowered said beam for no particular reason. 17. Mysterious fonts appearing in Corel Draw

Depending on what computer and OS you're using, simply locate the C drive (most common), open it, locate the Windows folder (if using Windows), open that, then locate the "Fonts" folder. Open that folder, find your unwanted fonts, select and delete.
  18. Mutoh Valuejet Spit Pads

Hmm, I read it as the pads for the tray, didn't think about the little head pass tray thingy.
  19. Mutoh Valuejet Spit Pads

I use old towels cut to shape and stacked. Right now I have a piece of scrap felt from a job in there. You can use anything as long as it's absorbent, even women's maxi pads if you're so inclined. At some point I will look into just having it drip into a container and eliminate the catch tray...
