Depends on the look that she wants. Personally, I'd use 1" pvc and give the edges a nice routed finish. PVC is used in exterior house trim and will take a latex paint with little prep outside of a light sanding and cleaning (lacquer thinner works well). The issue with thinner pvc is it will warp...

Either didn't know any better or didn't have the machinery that would rout aluminum. Interesting though.. if the ply were sealed correctly they might get quite a few years out of it. At least until the fire marshal inspects and finds all the electronics inside a wood box...

I've had different colors come from both SignGold and RealGold. It was explained to me that they can't help the lot colors. I tried to explain to them that matching existing apparatus with their product on both is imperative. Seemed to fall on deaf ears.

Hydrographics is cool stuff. There's a place not too far from me that does that process, mostly gun stocks from what I understand. Find a niche and some good money can be made.

You're like 45 minutes from me. Stop by and get a piece of 1" PVC. Screw the screw eyes right into it - use 3 - 4" long and bury the threads. You'll be fine.
