I can change the heads myself not a problem.
Just the cost of new heads is scary especially if their is other faults and this is just a glitch.
I don't understand "What do you have into it now?"
Last year we got a JV3-160S as a back up to our other machines.
When it arrived it had blocked heads, blocked pumps, etc. etc. and had lain inactive a lot longer than the seller had made out.
I decided I was going to have a play with this machine and get it into some sort of state so as to get a...
That van isn't too bad to letter.
We don't get that vehicle in the UK but it doesn't look as bad as some.
Try lettering the New Ford Transit Custom!!!!
I have never come across a van that was so awful to put two straight lines on.
What was Ford thinking?
It is as if the only way to sign the...
The windscreens (windshields) are really curved on these cars and they are a pain to template.
This will have to be cut specially using the actual car as a template.
Either that or you are going to have to get the customer to do some really precise measurements.
I have done a few but I can't...
My answer to this is "Move on".
Over the years I have made exactly the same mistake countless times and it hurts a lot.
Only consollation is that some times the client realises that cheapest is not always the best (or sometimes even cheapest).
Take the the job sheet and file it away carefully...
Bit of information for all Wasatch users.
Here's Wasatchs answer:-
"Hi SC
Thank you for your enquiry. You can run Wasatch with Windows 8 but your version is very old and you will need to upgrade.
Please supply the serial number and I will advise the cost. "
My question is if it runs on...
Hi all I hope someone can clear this up.
My RIP computer has died and I am having to quickly buy a new one from a supplier today and have up and running tonight.
The issue is all the latest PCs have Windows 8 / 8.1 installed.
Is Wasatch 6.2 compatible with this Operating System or will I face...
Our standard mutoh print head ran on our VJ1604 for about 5 years.
I don't know whether it was the head or the head cable that failed but both were replaced.
The biggest issue is that when either of these items fails it can blow the F2 fuse but if that is not fast it can fry the motherboard (I...
Head soak:- move the head of the capping station, get a couple of pieces of lint free cloth roughly the size of the capping pad.
Soak the cloth in solvent cleaning solution or the solution in the cleaning cartridges and move the head back over it.
The amount of time you leave it can vary, I...
It has been a while since I updated the computers and the amount of moaning I am getting from staff I can't stand it no more!!!!
Help!
We are running Signlab 9.1, Corel, Adobe, Etc.
Obviously budget is an issue as I am buying three units.
I just need a rough spec. as I will either buy something...
Hi
Also in the UK and after yesterdays storms a quieter morning.
Yes you need Solvent based DX4 heads of which I think their are either 3 or 4 off them in your machine.
Be prepared to be shocked by how much they cost though!
Later machines with the DX5 (Valuejet) print heads are now a more...
I fitted an aftermarket one about 10 months ago and still going strong.
Only issue I had was the wiper was a lot stiffer than original and was flicking ink everywhere but was easily replaced.
Huge saving over original, and to look at an exact copy.

We had similar issues with a certain roll of vinyl last year and no matter how much you turned the heaters down (or even off) it appeared.
Their is not enough adhesive on the vinyl to keep it on the backing sheet.
Phone your supplier and return or replace the roll.

I would guess a dirty encoder strip.
I cleaned the strip on our 1604 and it sems to be running OK again.
Clean gently with isopropyl alcohol and a lint free cloth.
