Does anyone integrate this into their site? Not sure I'd really have the time to implement it, but just curious who uses it and what kind of results you see.
I know when I want questions answered quickly on Amazon, etc., I love being able to use the feature.
I would still give the answer I originally posted. A lot of times, it's who you know (and who they refer to you).
For the installs you're talking about, cert's don't mean much to be honest.
Most national companies have established vendors throughout the country. If the national company happens to receive work in a certain area, those vendors are going to get first shot. If they don't currently have a vendor, the project managers will seek out a vendor that meets their requirements...
I absolutely agree that she was in the right - I wasn't defending the install crew. I was more making the point that people will often find out what the regulations are and figure "close enough" is acceptable and then get mad when they're told their 4' x 10' sign has to come down because they...
Granted - they're doing their jobs, but there are a ton of horror stories involving inspectors and code compliance officials.
This was some years back in a local city......the inspector was a woman that was known to be very strict. The sign company I was working for installed a pylon sign in a...
Agreed on Municode or Amlegal. You can also just try the city's website in which the install location is in. They'll usually have their codes accessible or more often than not they'll link to one of the aforementioned sites.
It's typically faster to look up the regulations yourself rather...
Yikes....that was a while ago. We typically did around 1500 - 2000 estimated per month so I don't recall the final cost but I'm pretty positive we hit the numbers. This is definitely a job we would have made sure we were covered on.
Estimating is enough to make you want to quit and do your...
No, primarily only the install crew was on-site. I was in the Estimating Department when this was done. It was an interesting job to estimate though...pricing had to be obtained for permits to close downtown city streets, the fees for the helicopter, the time required to manufacture and...
This is an install done by the previous sign company I worked at. Thought some of you may enjoy it. When I get into a difficult project, this is one of the ones I look back on and think "it could always be worse!".

I know - the music....ugh.
Depends on what the customer wants. If they want it flush, then you can screw into the siding. You can also use VHB tape and silicone.
If they want it stood off from the fascia, you use brackets, but you still have to screw into the siding. If screwing, you should use silicone to seal the...
I'm with Rick - VHB and/or Lords will work.
But it also depends on the brackets you're fabbing. What are their dimensions? How much of the surface area of the brackets will be in contact to the face? How many brackets per face?
It's too small for neon and LED's at those dimensions.
If they want those specific areas illuminated, I would build it as an acrylic panel and just route those specific areas. Then edge-light the panel with red LED's so that those etched areas show red. Cover the rest with digitally printed...
I no longer have their catalog, but if you describe what you're looking for to Bryan at LightAll, he'll be able to help you.
I'm sure there are options closer to you, but since no one else is responding yet...
