I ended up switching to Clear Focus perf and had no problems with it. So I recommend that perf media for sure. It just worked without having to adjust a bunch of settings.
Its a negotiating tactic. Nothing to take offence to. You should expect them to ask that question and already have an answer for it. If they don't ask it then hey bonus.
560 user here. This is actually a problem I haven't experienced. You should call up HP support. You might have a problem with whatever motor runs the tensioner. I assume you have ruled out that you might be loading in the media crooked or incorrectly?
These people who only say malwarebytes and Microsoft defender only are scaring me.
We use eset Nod32. No antivirus no matter how good it is will protect you if a user has no understanding of how a virus can infect your computer. "THINK before you click." as they say.
One thing they wont tell you about the 500 series is that it wastes a lot more media on the front end every time you have have to change rolls. Also the 500 series printers get media jams all the time. Sooo many... sooo frustrating.

3M IJ5100 is a printable reflective sheeting that we use for our local police department's vehicles. It has a grey/silver metallic look. Maybe its what you are looking for?
Its because they are all Indians and you cant understand them on the phone anyways. They know English but the accent is to thick to understand. Dont have to worry about that in chat.
I would say you are getting less suction in the vacuum platen. Look for clogs or maybe a fan that has stopped working. If both of those check out try turning up your vacuum setting.
Less durable means more reprinting fees. $$ They use the excuse that the lighter weight material is better for the environment. Who can blame them when they charge 4x markup.
