you set up the contours and registration marks in Illustrator with the hep of the CM3 plug-in.
It works well and is not hard to set up.
You would use Onyx to rip and print the saved ai/eps/pdf file.
I use the CM3 AI plug-ins to cut & Flexi to do the rip & print with my CE6000.

If they are really stuck use some fishing line tied to a dowel on each end. Same way you would remove the badges off a vehicle without damage.
Once you get the sign out of the way you should be able to razor the leftover tape off - keep it wet.

I'd pop them out. Unless you are going to trim around the indent - maybe some knifeless tape then.
Most handles come out with a single screw that does not need the inner panel to be removed to get to.

Maybe a silly question but did you back your print with white after printing the clear? We can't print white but get good results with prints on 8518 or 290 clear backed up with 3M 7725 white for second surface stuff.
Yes, you paint it on with a small brush or one of your printer cleaning swabs. Let it set up and then install over it.
