  2. Anyone using HP latex printers for wraps?

Kurt- 180cV3 prints and installs incredibly well via the latex. Stretches just like a true solvent printer. Just get one. You wont miss the solvent one bit. FWIW we are printing 8 pass for most and there is zero banding. Solids without any patterns look amazing. 6 pass works well enough, too...

  4. Make your own cleaning solution?

You can buy 5 liters of Lyson/Nazdar solvent flush solution for $45. Not a bad deal at all. It works great for Designjet 9000 inks. Not sure about others. But, at that price, it's not worth homebrewing.
  5. Dog Lover's... can i ask your advice... pleeeease?

Find a new vet. One that's locally owned, and not by one of the national corporate owned profit machines. And most importantly, good luck with your little one. And three visits, not incompetence, that's called profit and commission $ to the techs. Corporate vets suck. Care and compassion is...

Ultraflexx wallcovering + L25500 = sweet sweet sweet!!!
  7. More Concession trailers!

I like it. I'm sure there is a reason, but the lower awning panel repeats the upper sign panel. With space a commodity on the midway, would it be worth putting something else in the awning panel rather than be repetitive?
  8. new shop van wrap

I think it's excellent, actually. There are not many wraps that actually sell the product. This one succeeds. Wheels are a nice touch. Hanging some copy is totally fine. Let us know how much it boosts your biz, b/c it will for sure.
  9. HP Designjet9000s printing problems

Agreed it could be an o-ring. Also check the magenta cap. It may not be sealing, or may be clogged, follow that tubing down to the primer pump and check that too, could be worn or clogged. While you are at it, leave those covers off, it makes troubleshooting this much easier in the future.

  11. Different type of extrusion....

Pat-build a jig out of MDF or scrap cut to proper radius, use radial arm saw, relief cut the extrusion returns, form over jig, weld relief cuts back together. Bit of work, but works very well.
  12. Onyx v10 Illustrator drop shadow issue.

And I see no reason why the top two industry programs can't get it together on this one. This is so frustrating and a huge disruption to workflow to a high volume shop, contributes to wasted material and wasted employee and machine time, which simply does not need to happen in a modern world...

  15. Laser Distance Measurer

This thread enlightened me to a new tool, but, I have a simpler solution. Go to pool store, buy extendable pool pole. Cable tie or bolt angle bracket to end. Cable tie fat daddy big number tape measure to that. Bingo, long arm tape measure, no need to get your ladder out to do a quick survey...
  16. HP L25500 Laminating Problems

Odd issue you are having. We feed roll after roll or latex prints through our laminator, no problem at all. combos include 3651 and 210, oracal floor with matching floor lam, 3551RA with 210 and 180cv3 with 8518 and or 8519. Odd thing is, we think it lams up BETTER than the solvent prints...

I have one and run the crap out of it, and need another. I'm happy to do a promo!
  18. heavy laminator to go upstairs problem

whatever you do, DONT turn it on it's side/end. Use the wheel points only as weight bearing points. Otherwise, You will rack it, and it will never lam right, ever again.
