  1. Installing new mainboard in Valuejet 1604...

Yes any windows from XP and up should work. All the password does is give you more options so you should just see more buttons show up on the main screen. If this is a brand new board from Mutoh, you have to use the Board Replacement wizard which should show up as an option once you login.
  2. Question Mutoh rj900x replacement main board

Usually you need to upload the firmware before the parameters. The firmware should be available on Mutoh's website.
  3. Installing new mainboard in Valuejet 1604...

If you are running it from a ZIP file you might have to extract it for it to work properly.
  4. Installing new mainboard in Valuejet 1604...

User Name: USA_M Password: 3/lt These are the ones that work for me. That password is a lowercase L by the way.
  5. Mimaki CJV30-160 vinyl profiles ?

Those are the ones I usually recommend to customers. Those and the 3m ones work really well on most vinyls.
  6. Mutoh 1204 Banding / Bad Nozzle Check

It will definitely help if it was the original reason for the clogged nozzles. If the nozzles are damaged or have really deep old clogs, it may not do anything. It's always hard to tell until it's installed. As stated above, it might come down to manually flushing the head but that is a last...
  7. Mutoh 1204 Banding / Bad Nozzle Check

The manufacturer recommends changing the maintenance station once per year. That is overboard but I see about 2 years in the field. Usually I recommend changing the cap top once per year or as needed and flush the waste tubes while you are in there. That makes the station last longer.

  9. Need Help NEED HELP WITH SP540V

You'll always get a better response during business hours. For whatever reason your yellow channel has lost ink flow. You can just run a bunch of strong cleaning and it should come back but that wastes ink. Most people will just manually fill it with a syringe and the run a normal cleaning. If...
  10. Discussion Losing Weight.

I grew up on well water! The first time I had city water it tasted like a pool.
  11. Discussion Losing Weight.

I don't think it's a bad idea to follow a pre-designed diet but they all come down to the same thing. The number one thing is counting calories and having a good idea about how many calories you burn per day. It takes a few weeks to get into a groove but once you do you will lose weight...
  12. sp 540v Meganta damper has nipple from rubber stuck in it

You can test a transistor in circuit but it is not accurate so you can never trust the result. When you take it out, you get an accurate reading no matter what. It's always better to be 100% sure than 50/50. Also, none of this is a secret. It's just that there aren't a lot of people who have the...
  13. Suggestions Yellow turning green

You are getting cross contamination which could be a few things: 1. The dampers are failing due to old age or just a bad seal somewhere and causing the cartridge to pull back on the system, which pulls the nearest neighbor's color into itself. If your dampers are over a year old, I would change...
  14. Suggestions Primer to get LH100 ink to stick to corrugated?

I have 3 customers using the JFX200 and they print coro all day long with no primer but they use the LUS150 inks. Any reason you are using the LH100? It's a softer more flexible ink but it doesn't grab on as hard.
  15. Hot or Cold Lamination

Cold is industry standard. Some machines will have something called heat assist, and it is used to cut down on silvering but that problem is almost non-existent these days due to better formulated adhesives.
  16. Need Help Roland VS 640 - Printing lighter all of a sudden

It may just be the lighting but those don't look like the same vinyl. Were they both printed on the same roll? Maybe it''s a material issue. The fact that it's happening in the test print rules out profile issues. Have you switched ink brands recently?
  17. BANDING

This is a feed issue not a scan issue. Linear encoder only controls back and forth motion not feed.

  19. Need a service tech in Southern California

You probably just popped a fuse. Make sure you work on the machine unplugged and wait 15 minutes before doing anything and make sure all cables are in perfectly before powering back on. There are two small ceramic fuses usually labeled F2 and F3. They should be 1.6amp 125v fuses and you should...
