Is there a quick way to remove or prevent these strands from sticking out? I've tried using a lighter and it causes the strands to curl back and form a small ball, which isn't slightly either. I cant use any kind of hem tape because these are rolled and unrolled pretty tightly. I'm using an Olfa...
I need a tape that's ideally 0.75" but can be as wide as 1" to apply over a mesh printed with latex. Everything I've tried so far eventually peels off after a few days. Anyone have suggestions?
We currently use this polyester banner material that has a silk-ish feel for certain window work since the artwork is visible from both sides at night when backlit from the inside. The only problem is that the rolls only come in 54" and I would like something that matches our other material at...
There are a lot of print maintenance tests and I'm confused as to which ones I should run and when. Is printhead status plot the same as printhead alignment? The manual says that I need at least 24" wide media for printhead status plot and color calibration. I have some 27" roll media (cut in...
What's a good way to scribe pure black material? Chalk? Pen? Tape? Blood? And other than big rulers, are there any tools or techniques for quickly measuring and marking a big rectangle?
I'm reading the contents of the $275 maintenance kit, and it doesn't seem like a lot of stuff to justify $275.
In the box: 10 Sponges, 1 Cleaner Sponge, 3 Helical P-Wheel, and 1 Lubricant Oil Bottle
I don't know what the 'helical P-wheels' are but a tiny bottle of lubricant should not cost...
When running the force drop test, I've noticed that my yellow nozzles seem to get very high values relative to the others. All the other nozzles are between 0 to 20, but yellow is 131 and 101. The odd thing is that both the yellow printheads are the least used with only about 6-700 mL of use...
Curious, but for those who have learned to service HP printers pretty well, how did you go about it? I've read through the troubleshooting manual and watched all the videos HP uploaded, but since we bought the printer used, I never had any formal training. Did anyone here go through something...
Im looking for a linear cutter of at least 64". We cut a lot of soft material like textiles and Foster mistakenly sold us a table edge rotary cutter that was awful. They later said that it was not the right cutter and we should have bought a Javelin. Our local supply shop also sells CWT cutters...
I've been looking for a desktop sized roll printer that can print a long thin banner of removable tape. Its meant to be a 1-time use consumable. I was looking into Brother QL label makers as they sell something like that, but the specs say that it can only print up to 3 feet long banners even on...
I've always had it turn downwards as that was the easiest to tape and that's how the official HP video shows it, but then I saw this picture where it turns upwards.

It seems like this setup would provide more tension? Has anyone tried it...
Our 560 is currently hardlined into a laptop to maintain a reliable connection to the RIP. But then it doesnt get internet access so that when it attempts to send HP an error report on bootup, it takes forever to time out. Is there any way to disable that?
Since theres no smearing, I don't think its the printheads. But I can't find any pattern to these chicken scratches that show up here and there. It only started recently but I don't remember any significant factors that might have precipitated it.
And what could I use to mask it on unprinted...
I've been looking into payment services and was wondering what people's firsthand experience was with each. I keep reading horror stories of CC chargebacks and I want to know if thats just 'cost of doing business' or if anyone has found a better alternative.
For my personal design services, I...
Regarding Latex 3/500 series:
The last time I remember turning on trough in Onyx, I think the bars only had CMYK. If the purpose of the bars is to keep all printheads firing, shouldn't it also have LM and LC? My memory is kind of fuzzy on this, but is it suppose to have all 6 colors?
Is there any reason to upgrade firmware if nothing is wrong? Our Latex is wired directly into the computer right now so it has no direct internet connection and can't send error reports or download. Its not meant to be a long term thing, but I'm wondering why upgrade and risk something going...
So we do window and wall coverings for residential and businesses. These are all end-use products and not for resell. I want to create separate check out portals with some specific features that are relevant to each group. For example I want to keep the check out process as simple as possible...
