  1. JV3 160SP Printing Problem

you'll be looking for something gantry related. possibly a cracking main ribbon that is distorting data at a certain bend point. move your zero to the left about a foot and see if the issue follows the main board or stays at the gantry. if the issue bumps over then it's not gantry related.

  7. White UV Ink Issues - From bottle to print head

there's not gravity "theory" about how the ink gets to the head. the head does have a micro pumping action in the piezo but that fires the ink that then pulls the ink train through it at the platen.
  8. White UV Ink Issues - From bottle to print head

the cartridge can come in many designs. you can see in the clear refillables that they have "downhill" interior to keep ink feeding to one end. these printers are referred to as "gravity feed". think of the ink train as having a heavy and light side. if you were to hang a heavy chain off the...
  9. White UV Ink Issues - From bottle to print head

the white ink is heavier and has more surface energy than the other colors. so while the cmyk is flowing down the tube and easily stretches under the gravity pulling it toward the head, the white is more resistant to stretch and is like a bungy cord and pulling itself back toward the...
  10. Cet printing white ink on recycled board

i'd take the "recommended vacuum" settings with a grain of salt. we had tons of issues with our cet and after getting the canned tech response the fix was dropping the vacuum way below speck and cooking the ink in the offending head. my printer (flora h700) recommends 2.8. i run at 1.6. i...
  11. Cet printing white ink on recycled board

3.4 is really high for white. perhaps your black will need to be lowered to thicken it up a tick(?).
  12. Cet printing white ink on recycled board

  13. acuity fuji having dripping issues

one thing that helps flatten sheets for hybrid printers is to have the feed side running very slightly down hill into the printer. then have the exit side exiting very slightly down hill. between the pressure of the pinch roller and the rear table and the gravity pulling down a bit on the exit...

in Rasterlink, if you have the printer set up CMYKlmlc** you can use a CMYK only file and the printer will eliminate using the lm lc channel. you'll need heads there to shake hands with the firmware. they can be clogged but not error07.

  16. Industrial CNC

looks like a chinese build to me. you have two wise choices. limac or shopbot. there's other new builders out there but why someone starting out wouldn't just buy a used shopbot alpha is beyond me. http://www.talkshopbot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20105...
  17. mimaki jv3 130 head problem

if he did a cable swap and the machine went dead, he hooked the cable swap up wrong. the machine's board is not aware of a cable swap. essentially it's like a person putting a left shoe on their right foot and a right shoe on their left foot then having a aneurism. the printing all over the...
