  1. Vinyl and Pressure washing

Was it a WRAP or just vinyl lettering? We don't really warranty anything (we don't do wraps) past about 1 year....There's too many things that can go wrong with customers and elements to be replacing vinyl every time someone's window washer grinds too hard on our stickers, or someone power...
  2. 70 inches of daylight balanced LED's installed on printer for under $17

I'm also still waiting on my remote....put a claim in with amazon (it's been two months now) but still nothing from them either. Am i the only one who doubled up the row of LEDs? At the end I looked it and ran the string of LEDS back towards the plug.
  3. VERSAWORKS or MACHINE ..Tec says Software Issue but I can't get through...

Wow seriously good catch...I looked right past that LOL. Sometimes the most obvious fix is the least. I don't think switching chips in the cartridges/running them backwards will work....first off it's going to put all kinds of different ink colors in the wrong lines. dampers, etc. But isn't...
  4. Font ID please!

Ahhh ur the man! thank you!
  5. Roland spot colors and how they work

The only thing you said here that was actually true was that the spot colors allow easier color matching. They have nothing to do with pantone or getting more vibrant colors. My goodness....
  6. Cartridge recycling?

Staples and Office depot both recycle. But their stipulations with your rewards are so overwritten and so many rules that we dumpster them now. Every time we go to use the credit, it's expired and requires some sort of purchase blah blah blah. Not worth my time to plan how to recycle and redeem...
  7. Roland spot colors and how they work

Someone correct me if i'm wrong but i think the profile DOES change the spot color library which is why you need to print the spot color chart off using every profile on the media it was made for. "COLOR MANAGEMENT" settings won't affect the spot colors however.
  8. Problems with 2 New XR-640 Printers

Yikes....Sounds like someone at your shop made a $60k mistake. A UV printer and a Solvent printer are two completely different beasts, made for different purposes, with different strengths and weaknesses. This is all normal for solvent printers, and XR640 - it's a lack of research on your part...
  9. Font ID please!

Hey guys - ran this through whatthefont but nothing was quite close. The & sign is off pretty far on most of the suggestions that were halfway there. Does anyone recognize this font?? Thank you so much in advance!
  10. Static on Roland Printer?

The sign shop here sells this copper tassel at about $1 a foot that you attach on the backside of the printer so it dangles just above the media as it enters the machine. I'd rather spend $5 than $180 hahaha...sounds like a salesman
  11. 70 inches of daylight balanced LED's installed on printer for under $17

Wanted to say THANK YOU!!!! I installed these a couple weeks ago in our new VS540i and the end result is INCREDIBLE!!! I ended up looping it back around on the end and running it back so I have twice the light and I don't have a clue how I ever ran this shop without this before. I've noticed it...
  12. White Ink Variable Data?

I've got a $20,000 printer sitting here that prints white. The question is whether or not it's possible to do it on my own printer...
  13. White Ink Variable Data?

Hey guys - I have a customer that we do a bunch of clear stickers for and up until now we've been printing simle black lettering to clear. They've decided they want to switch to white lettering to clear now -- but the catch is that they're all variable data. It's basically a series of...

  16. Roland GX-24 can't cut 10 feet accurately?

I started out with a 24" Summa "entry level" plotter ten years ago and it still runs every single day for us. The only thing i've ever had to do is replace the cut strip (once) and blades. Work horse....and it's perfect, every.time. Entry Level doesn't mean much to me...
  17. banding or lines on my print

Assuming your feed calibration is correct....and your print heads are aligned properly. As suggested above, try GCVP or go download Oracal's 3165G Profile and try that. 3165G profile seems to print almost everything on that machine. It COULD just be the media too -- our SP300V was VERY picky...
  18. banding or lines on my print

    Not a chance.
  19. Help with printing
