  1. What's the original font?

Another guess would be Myriad.
  2. Where to buy Ronan paint?

I buy my Ronan via N Glantz. You want the lettering enamel, not the bulletin. But I do use bulletin for backgrounds sometimes. Love....Jill
  3. Go... Pound... Sand...

I hate it. I am sick of it. I try to be nice but most of the time I secretly wish I could tell the person to go___ themselves with a jackhammer. The part that makes me feel good is when I see what they settle for. Love....Jill
  4. What do you guys think??

Too much going on. Looks like the O is being impregnated by the symbol for Male.
  5. What's the original font?

    Gill Sans maybe? Love....Jill
  6. Outlining vs just drop shadowed letters, on dark or black back ground

I really like Jeff's suggestion. I do something similar that's not as cool, I do an offset pinline outline. But I like his suggested shadow. Remember that a shadow or outline should never have more contrast than the word itself. Love....Jill
  7. Hand drawn & lettered

Craig, you did an awesome job. Love....Jill
  8. How to remove lettering enamel?

Be super ultra careful. Do not use the Easy Off outside in the sun. If the vehicle is red...don't use Easy Off (will change the color of the paint) I would try masking off the area with good tape, slightly scuffing it with a Scotchbrite pad (on the stripe only) then blot it with a sponge...
  9. 2 logo ideas. Need help with direction

Neither. If you have to choose one, I guess the bottom...but the N is just cheesy and the spacing is weird. A lot of people still do not know what a wrap is, they think it is a lunch menu item.
  10. Need advice on my shop's van wrap....

Actually, her advice was really good. People can remember a website name (a simple one) far better than a phone number. As for your layout, it is just plain awful. Too much information in an ugly font, busier than a cat trying to cover crap on a marble floor. People may remember you as doing...
  11. Shout out to John Deaton!

I love John's cartoons. He really has a great eye for stuff like this. I'm glad you could help each other. Love....Jill
  12. Logo design before and after.

No photoshopping...just a nice wet blend. I love jobs like this, wish I got to do more of them. :thankyou:
  13. Logo design before and after.

Painted it on their wall inside yesterday. The client was so thrilled that she actually cried. I tweaked the rule line here.
  14. Just because you're an Artist doesn't mean you're a Sign Maker

A lot of artists can't design a sign, or hand-letter, or even use a computer mask without it looking like crap. Signs are a completely different animal. As sign people, I think we are kind of like the jack-of-all-trades. Being an artist can give you an eye for balance, but an eye for clean...
  15. Band logo

I like it, it has the right feel without looking too tattooey. There are some stutters in the letters which are either trying to look eroded, but to me look like mistakes (not smooth) they are accentuated when you further detail the piece. I agree about the pinstripe element looking a bit...
  16. Before and After Cleaning Service Logo

Looks much better with the simpler "to". I would still suggest a straight subcopy.
  17. Before and After Cleaning Service Logo

I like the new one so much better. I like that while the lady is a top, she also looks kind of like a whirling dervish of cleaning. I also like that she has a big bottom! Maybe drop her down the tiniest bit. Change her apron scrollie to blue so she doesn't look too nun-like or make the feather...
  18. Updated Logo for a Customer

Hadco needs to be up higher and closer to the "H" icon. I repeat what I said about the angle of the eagle. Not in love with the subcopy font, the slant looks too forced to me.
  19. Corel Vector Art

That is sweet! Love the richness of it. Love....Jill
  20. Updated Logo for a Customer

The eagle head in both, but particularly the new one, look like they need Viagra. Make the head pointing upward. :Big Laugh The original "H" thingy looks better. Love....Jill
