Anyone have any experience with Black Body infrared digital dryers or even a similar product? I'm particularly interested if anyone has experience running one on Rolands with ecosol inks on controltac. Thanks!
I just had DMT out to replace my rollers with remanufactured rollers on my Seal 54 Base. After 2 trips down and hours of adjusting, it still isn't tracking right at all. The cost of the rollers and installation was quite a bit. With our workload, I cannot afford to fight every print right now...
Yeah, we're doing a wrap for a client who was also on the show. She told me to do what we can to get the logo. I said I'd try. Can I see what you used?
Sign Shops in the Spring, Texas area. Just a quick heads up. Jax Burgers, Fries & Shakes stiffed us on a $900 invoice. I'm sure they will be knocking on your door soon for work. Do yourself a favor and get paid up front. No, I won't give you their artwork. I won't go into any more details...
I'm thinking it's time to bring in a new printer. Mostly for vehicle wraps. We can keep the vp540 around for small jobs and cutting.
So, I was looking at the RE640. Anybody have any experience with this printer? I saw it in action at a tradeshow in Dallas a while back. It was ok. I'm not in...
Well looks like I missed a spec of something on the encoder strip exactly where that vertical dropout was. Let's hope that took care of that. Gave the encoder disk a thorough bath... got quite a lot of crap off it. Letting the alcohol evaporate before I crank it back up and see what happens...
I have gotten similar dropouts on a friend's VP540i with a crappy takeup. The takeup has adjustable tension and if you apply too much, you get a band every time it tugs on the print. Similar effect to what a heavy roll would do.
In my case, no... the roll on there right now is half full...
I'm having some dropout issues similar to what I had back in this thread...

You can see the dropout in the attached print. It runs through the whole print but really shows it's ugly face in anything blue.
so, I just finished taking the...
Dan, you are right about many things... not this time though.
We have some of the cleanest installs I've seen in the Houston area. No certifications here.
Neato's idea is the best in the thread. However, my issue with Neato's concept is that it's maybe a little too abstract for a billboard. Being in the vehicle wrap business, I know how many calls a day we get from people who want to get paid to drive around with someone else's stuff on their car...
Still way too much going on for a billboard. It's gotta be short and sweet. One quick message. You only have a moment to communicate.
If you don't mind me asking, why are you considering billboard advertising? I really feel that billboards are only effective for larger companies who can...
